Sassy Pants Handmade Diapers Discount Code & Giveaway! US 6/25

Sassy Pants Diapers
Disclosure: I received diapers in exchange for my review. I am not responsible for the fulfillment of the prizes below, the sponsor (Sassy Pants Diapers) holds full responsibility for prize fulfillment.

Sassy Pants Diapers $25 GC Giveaway!

We received two cloth diapers from Sassy Pants Handmade, the Fox print is a regular fitted  and the Mustaches is a hybrid fitted. Both fitteds come with a double length soaker as well as a regular length soaker and two super soft and adorable cloth wipes. The soakers are made of heavy organic bamboo fleece and hemp fleece, they are dreamy soft and perfect for touching baby's sensitive skin. This is a perfect combination for soakers as the bamboo quickly absorbs while the hemp slowly absorbs and holds a lot of liquid. The hybrid fitted shell is made of the outer layer which has the print or embroider design, a hidden layer of polyester fleece and then an inside soft layer of organic bamboo fleece. The regular fitted is made of the same outer layer with the print or embroider design and two layers of organic bamboo fleece.

Sassy Pants Handmade Diapers Review & Discount Code!

Sassy Pants Diapers
Disclosure: I received the following items in exchange for my honest review. All opinions and experiences are my own and may differ from those of your own.

Sassy Pants Handmade
Sassy Pants Handmade was created by a wonderful SAHM named Stephanie. As a young girl her mom taught her how to sew. She's been a mom for three years now and two littles that she has diapered. She was looking to save money and reduce her carbon foot print as she began her journey of motherhood. She started to make her own cloth diapers in 2012, at first she sewed with polyester/synthetic fabrics as well as the much dreaded microfiber and waterproof fabrics. She learned, as many of us other cloth diapering mommas have, what the fibers in these materials were and how they are manufactured as well as the effects they have on the environment and their inability to break down in landfills. Making them not much different then just using disposables. She decided to no longer sew with these fabrics and started to sew with wool and organic fabrics, which she has been doing since 2013.

Sassy Pants Hybrid Fitted & Regular Fitted

We received two cloth diapers from Sassy Pants Handmade, the Fox print is a regular fitted ($26ARV)  and the Mustaches is a hybrid fitted ($34ARV). Both fitteds come with a double length soaker as well as a regular length soaker.

The soakers do not snap in, making it perfect for customizing how they are laid in the diaper. If you have a girl, you'll want most of your absorbency in the middle, so you could fold the regular soaker in half and lay it in the middle. If you have a boy you'll want the majority of your absorbency in the front of the diaper, you could fold the regular soaker and place it more towards the front. Personally, I just lay them both flat to cover the length of the diaper shell and they have worked perfectly fine for us.

Above on the right I have the fold down rise (FDR) folded down and I have the wing snapped to the extra snap for a smaller fit. And on the right the FDR is open so the diaper is at it's normal unstretched length and the wing is snapped to the regular snaps.

Sassy Pants diapers are one size, they fit from approximately 10 to 35 pounds. They have a fold down rise to give a good fit for all size babies and toddlers. The wings are also "equipped"  with an additional snap to help obtain a better fit with smaller babies.

I didn't have a single problem with getting the perfect fit with this diaper! The back elastic is just tight enough to give a snug fit in the back to help keep in any messy messes, while not being too tight - no red marks. The leg elastics are perfect as well, tight enough to keep the soakers in the diaper and they wont allow those messy messes to escape from the legs either. As you can see in both photos, the rise of the diaper is generous, which I think is awesome! Ezio is 3 years old and not quite into the whole potty training thing, boys are definitely more difficult then girls! Anyhow, he is about 32lbs and about 3'4" tall. I could definitely use the FDR on these diapers and still have a secure and full coverage fit. He's only three pounds away from the approximate weight range, but has plenty of room to grow in Sassy Pant Diapers! Huge plus for me! I also really love that the diapers are not bulky at all, even with both the double length and regular length soakers in the diaper.

The absorbency on both diapers are the same, but as stated one is a hybrid fitted with a hidden layer of polyester fleece for a water resistant layer. Not a waterproof layer. What the poly fleece does is, it creates a barrier that stops the liquid from soaking out toward the print/outer most fabric to help maintain a dry outer layer, the liquid is then absorbed by the soaker or the inner lining. With the regular fitted you do not have this water resistant layer, however in a sense you have an added absorbency layer as the hidden layer on those fitteds is heavy organic bamboo fleece which is very absorbent. Ezio has worn these diapers a few times now and I feel it safe to say that they are both very absorbent and while it is hotter now that we're in June and we finally have hot summer weather, he is drinking more and both diapers have allowed for up to 4 hours of drinking and wetting! I will try them both at bedtime and see how they hold, I bet they will do fairly well as he wont be drinking water every ten minutes through out the night. I'll update with how our over nights go with our Sassy Pants Diapers.

I am a try lover of fitted diapers, especially WAHM made fitteds. These fitteds did not disappoint, that is a tried and true fact!

Kissing Blake Daytime and Overnight OS Hybrid Fitted Diapers Review!

Disclosure: We received two diapers in exchange for our honest review, all opinions and experiences are our own and may differ from those of your own.

We received two diapers from Kissing Blake. One of their Night Time Fitted Diaper ($34ARV) and their Regular Absorbency or Everyday Fitted Diaper ($26ARV). All of Kissing Blakes diapers are OS Hybrid Fitteds that fit from approximately 8 - 35lbs. The diapers are made using a cute outer print (knit or fleece), a hidden layer of polyester fleece that is water resistant (not water proof) with a coordinating cotton velour inner lining.

Soakers

Let's talk soakers! Kissing Blake Hybrid Fitted Diapers come with the following soakers (both their regular/everyday and extended/overnight hybrids), the top soaker is topped with a coordinating cotton velour on regular diaper or dimple minky on our overnight diaper, both have two layers of SHOBF - Super Heavy Organic Bamboo Fleece. Then the bottom, smaller soakers have three layers of SHOBF. You get a total of 7 layers of SHOBF for the ultimate absorbency without being too bulky.

Extended/Overnight Hybrid OS Fitted

OUT OF THIS WORLD ABSORBENCY!
Kissing Blake's Red Octopus At Night, OS Extended/Overnight Hybrid Fitted diaper is the BEST overnight diaper EVER! Not only does it hold up all night long for a heavy wetter who is 2 years old, but it is a fitted and did NOT require a cover for Ezio to wear it 10-12+ hours through the night! He has woke up DRY, not even damp on the outside of the wet zone, in this diaper every single time he has worn it. I am still absolutely amazed at the absorbency and quality of this diaper. I seriously need another Kissing Blake OS Hybrid Overnight diaper so he can wear only these at bedtime.

Comfort/Soft Serged
Typically I don't care for serged diapers because they tend to leave red marks on his inner thighs and waist, but with Kissing Blake diapers being comfort serged we do not get any red marks, not even the slightest. Super plus again!

Fit
The fit of Kissing Blake OS Hybrid Fitted Diapers is perfect! Ezio is at that weird, in between snap settings "phase" right now, but with the Kissing Blake diapers we can either cross over the tabs or leave them uncrossed and the waist open a little more. Both provide a secure fit, keeping the diaper on and where it should be as well as preventing unwanted leaks. But, doesn't a fitted diaper leak anyhow? I can honestly say that I have not had a single leak in the overnight diaper! We could also use the fold down rise, however at bedtime I like to leave the rise fully open for "more" protection... or so I tell myself. Also, I think it's a bit more comfy for my tummy sleeper to have as little bulk on/around his tummy at night.

As you can tell in the top left and right photos of our overnight diaper on Ezio, they are not super bulky. He can comfortably lay on his side, have his knees touching and such because the diaper is not horrendously bulky... some of the diapers I had to put on Cade to get through the night made him waddle... honestly! I wish Leah had started Kissing Blake when Cade was still in diapers.... WAIT A MINUTE! Okay, I will be updating this post. Cade, my 4 year old SUPER SUPER heavy wetter still wears pull-ups at bedtime and leaks through them and other diapers we've tried at night time. I've given up on keeping him dry through the night, HOWEVER! The light bulb just went on as I haven't even thought about putting a diaper on him because he has a huge fit that he's not a baby. But I am going to try my hardest to get him to wear this diaper from Kissing Blake at least once so I can see if it'll hold up for him through out the night! I promise I will be back to update! Fingers crossed that Cade will be willing to wear this diaper within the next couple of night. I am 99.9% positive that it WILL keep him dry through out the night! So be sure to check back, I'll also post an update on our Facebook page about Cade's night experience in it.

Okay, back to Ezio in the Kissing Blake diapers... where was I? Oh, yea. Lets talk about the Everyday/Regular Hybrid Fitted. Our Under the Sea day time diaper is awesome as well and Ezio usually naps in this diaper. It's also very absorbent, not quite as absorbent as the night time diaper though. The Everyday diaper is so soft and quite a bit more trim then the overnight diaper. Again, the same great fit and everything. Also, comfort/soft serged and leaves no red marks.

As I'm sure you can tell already, I absolutely hands down love the extended/overnight diaper. I have never used such an amazing overnight diaper before! Both diapers are adorable and of the same great quality. Leah is a great seamstress who creates beautiful diapers, her children are also absolutely beautiful, definitely check out their Family album on Facebook.

Squishy Baby Diaper Co. - Organic Bamboo Fleece Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway US 3/11

Squishy Baby Diaper Co. specializes in bamboo fitted cloth diapers. With their of making every baby comfortable while diapering them in natural and absorbent fibers!

Apple Green OBF

One Size Apple Green OBF Fitted Cloth Diaper ($28ARV) fit babies from approximately 8 pounds up to 35 pounds. They were created to be a soft and absorbent as well as long lasting and squishy diaper. This diaper is made with 2 layers of Organic Bamboo Fleece (OBF) as the shell with a layer of Organic Bamboo Velour (OBV) as the inner layer which goes against baby's bum for the ultimate softness.Turned and top stitches with a coordinating thread makes the elastic casings soft and gently hugs baby's thighs, this is to prevent red marks and irritation to baby's skin. This diaper is also made with a 4X2 snap down rise which allows a custom fit to your baby no matter their age or shape. With the cross over wings you can get a nice snug fit on even teeny tiny newborn bellies.

Doublers

Each Squishy Baby Diaper comes with 3 lay-in doublers. Going off of my photo above, the doublers from left to right. All the way to the left is the contoured doubler which is made with 3 layers of super heavy organic bamboo fleece and is the bottom layer doubler. The small tear dropped shaped doubler next to it is the "middle wet zone double" and is also made with super heavy organic bamboo fleece. The one to the right of that is the "top contour doubler" which is made with 2 layers of super heavy organic bamboo fleece and one top layer of organic bamboo velor for ultimate softness against baby's skin. These three doublers make 12 very thirsty layers of bamboo making this a great diaper for heavy wetters and even those who struggle to find a night time solution, which is actually what Alicia kept in mind while designing this diaper.

Towards the front for diapering a boy.

I love the small tear drop shaped doubler as you can place it towards the front of the diaper if you have a little boy or in the middle if you have a little girl, allowing you to fully customize the absorbency of this diaper! Place the soaker in the wet zone for your child, not where it is sewn in and can't be adjusted.

In the middle for diapering a girl.

Super easy to customize and get the best absorbency from this diaper! One of my favorite for nap and bedtime due to this feature in the soakers!

I also received an additional doubler booster which is the rounded rectangular one which is laid on top in the photo above. We usually do not need to use all four doublers, however we do sometimes if Ezio has had a lot to drink, just for added protection, plus the diaper really isn't all that bulky even with all four doublers in the diaper.

Above is an example of the diaper with all four of the doublers inside. Not too bulky at all, especially for how absorbent and squishy this diaper is!

Fit & Our Thoughts

Ezio is two year old and just under thirty pounds as well as thirty inches tall. This diaper fits him perfectly, even around his chubby little thighs! Since using this diaper a few times I have found that I can reduce the bulk in the front of the diaper if I snap the rise snaps down one, although as you can see we still get a good fit either way. The waist snaps can cross over, however I tend to give him a little more leeway in the belly area as he does have a little buddha belly, especially when he sits down so comfort is in my mind while putting diapers on him.

I think my jaw may have dropped to the floor when I pulled this organic bamboo fitted diaper out of the package and felt how unbelievably soft and squishy it was! I knew right away that it would definitely be more then absorbent enough. I'm pretty certain that if the wings were a bit longer and it would fit nicely on Cade, my heavy wetter three year old son, that it would most definitely hold up for him overnight! Ezio has worn this diaper for nap and bedtime as well as during the day. I have never needed to use a cover with diaper and even with only one or two soakers in the diaper for daytime use it's not even soaked through the doublers by the time I change him. He could probably wear this ONE diaper ALL day long and hardly dampen the outer of the shell. I've also discovered that I could probably just take out the wet doubler and put a clean/dry one in and he could wear this one diaper through out the day that way as well, however, I'm not quite sure how hygienic that would be... on the other hand wouldn't that be similar to using a prefold and cover? I'm not sure and with his sensitive skin and eczema, I don't want to risk it just yet, I'm still loving this diaper!

I absolutely love the absorbency of this fitted diaper as well as the fact that it is made with all organic bamboo fibers, which is all perfect for his skin as well as all other babies delicate skin. The adjust-ability/customization you're able to do with the doublers is also a huge plus!

Hybrid Fitted
We received this awesome hybrid fitted diaper from Recycled Rumps in a lycra print she has called/labeled as Tattooed ($22ARV). I absolutely love the print, but that's not even close to all that I love about this diaper nor is it the thing I love most about it anymore! When I first seen it, I just loved the print and knew nothing about the amazing absorbency nor the uber soft and plushness of this diaper.

First things first, what this diaper is made of... the outer layer is a lycra knit. The inner lining is microchamois, which for those who are unfamiliar with this fabric as was I... it is an ultra-soft pill resistant lightweight fleece, like microfleece, but better. It is so very soft and silky smooth! I think I have become addicted to this fabric just from this diaper... anyhow back to the materials of the diaper! Each fitted comes with a trifold insert, which could be zorb or bamboo. We received the HOBF trifold insert which is topped with a layer of microchamois and a smaller booster or small insert that is also topped with microchamois. The photo below is the trifold insert and the booster/small insert. What I like most about the booster/small insert is that it is perfect for both boys and girls and helps you customize the absorbency a bit as you can place it further in the front for boys or in the middle for girls to maximize the absorbency in your babe's wet zone.

I could feel the plushness and what had to be absolutely amazing absorbency right away in this diaper! So I put it to the ultimate test. First and foremost it had to fit my 40 pound 3.5 year old and it DID! Perfectly with TONS of room to grow and you can see in the far right photo below I even used a cross over snap on the wings. Then came the even harder test for this diaper... Cade had to be able to wear this diaper through out the entire night and wake up unsoaked. Seriously, momma is tired of washing his bedding daily or near to it.

Just as I had thought, this diaper held up amazingly well for Cade over night! In fact the outer layer nor the cover I used over this fitted were even damp! So after it came back out of the wash, instead of trying it on Ezio as I normally would, I just had to try this fitted again on Cade, but this time I put it on him at nap time with no cover and again he woke up with out a single leak. He usually takes about a 3 hours nap, he doesn't sleep the whole time, but we use this time as a quiet rest time while Ezio is napping... who actually sleeps the full 3 hours. So, Cade was awake for quite a while out of those 3 hours and he had a cup of juice just before laying down. I was so pleased with both results and I did venture and get gutsy and put this fitted on him for bedtime without a cover at all... eek, why would I do such a thing?! Because I knew just how awesome this fitted diaper is! He woke up that morning dry as well.

I was so pleased that this diaper not only fit Cade great, but also held up over night without a cover! That is pretty much unheard of! I absolutely love fitted diapers, but I'm often sad when it gets to be nap or bedtime or we have to run somewhere and I have to put a cover over it so for him to be able to sleep in the diaper without a cover I am pretty sure we could run a quick errand in this fitted and not have a leak, but compression leaks are kind of tricky.

I did try this fitted diaper on Ezio... once... because I love it on Cade and he has less diapers, but the same thing went for Ezio when he got to wear it. No leaks and he wore it over night. I discovered in the morning that the inner layer of the diaper was actually dry and I totally could have put a prefold or something else inside of it just to enjoy the awesome print a bit longer before it went into the pail, however I did not. When I used this diaper on Ezio, I did snap down the rise and I also used the cross over tabs like I did with Cade. I probably could have closed the cross over tabs one more in, but I didn't want to make it too tight as he was wearing it to bed and I know I don't like anything to be tight on me when I sleep.

If you already have not discovered it... we simply love this diaper! Every last thing about it!

Sustainablebabyish Organic Overnight Bamboo Fleece Fitted

Sustainablebabyish Organic Overnight Bamboo Fleece Fitted Cloth Diaper ($24.95ARV) is a fitted diaper made with organic bamboo and cotton fleece inner and an outer layer of soft jersey. Since this is a fitted diaper, you do need a cover for over it. We've used this with a fleece soaker, wool soaker and even a Flip cover. All have worked great.

This fitted diaper comes with a snap in soaker as well as a shorter lay in soaker. They are made with three layers of bamboo fleece and also topped with soft jersey.

Cade is 3 years old and weighs 40 pounds, but is fairly slim and tall. It is very hard to find diapers that fit him and do not dig into his hips and cause him pain. Sbish has an X-Large size which fits from 32 pounds and up! I was so excited to see this larger diaper available and even more so when I tried the diaper on him and seen how much more room he has to grow into! This is very rare when looking for a diaper for Cade. As you can imagine, with Cade being 3 years old he is a heavy wetter and while we do have other diapers that fit him, he really can't be in the same diaper no matter what diapering system it is for more then about an hour usually! I don't have enough diapers large enough for him to be changing him 16+ times per day and then still manage to have diapers clean and available to use for him over night. As for this diaper!! He can wear it all night long, about 12 hours give or take! Yes, 12 hours in this one diaper, all through the night and wakes up with his pajamas and bedding dry! Oh, it was like a miracle the first few times he wore this diaper. I refuse to use this diaper during the day because it is so awesome as a night time diaper for Cade. It is most definitely our night time solution diaper! He has even woken up after a full 12 hours of sleep and the diaper not even be fully soaked and from a guesstimate I'd say he could go about 14 hours in this diaper, while I would not allow him to unless he were sleeping! Both of the boys have very sensitive skin so during the day the longest we let them go is about two hours in one diaper.

I love how absorbent this diaper is, yet it doesn't take forever to dry. When washing the diaper, obviously you take the lay in soaker out, but you also unsnap the snap in soaker. Why should you un snap it before washing? If you leave it snapped together you will put too much stress on the snaps, causing them to rip or pull out of the fabric leaving you with a ruined diaper. It also helps the soakers and the diaper get cleaner, the more open the diaper is, the better water and detergent can flow through the fibers of the diaper and get a nice and deep clean. As for drying, I dry all of my diapers on low heat. When using 4-6 wool dryer balls this diaper is dry in just one low heat, automatic sensor drying cycle. If I do not use the wool dryer balls then I do have to run it through the dryer one more time, but for me that is not an issue. I don't complain about diapers taking forever to dry because I look at it this way, if the diaper is absorbent and can hold more then other diapers or other layers of diaper of course it will take a while longer to dry as it has more absorbency.

Jack and the Bean 13 - Ghostly Boo Fitted Cloth Diaper Review

Jack and the Bean 13 is run by a lovely momma named, Erin. She creates beautiful and unique cloth diapers and cloth wipes of great quality.

Ghostly Boo Hybrid Fitted Diaper

Ghostly Boo ($23.50ARV) is a OS hybrid fitted cloth diaper that is made with cotton knit outer with the print, a hidden layer of Polyfleece and cotton velour inner. All of these layers are then serged together, giving a nice and professional looking finish to the diaper it's self. Then there is a snap-in-snake style soaker with matching velour to the inner layer of the diaper as well as heavy organic bamboo fleece. In addition to this snap-in-snake style soaker there is also a 2 layer snap-in booster made of heavy organic bamboo. For snap placement we have a fold down rise, which I personally prefer over snap-down rises. This fold down rise fits babes from about 8 to 18 pounds. In all honesty, I am able to fold down the rise on Ezio, who is about 26-30lbs at nearly 2 years old, however, there is no doubt in my mind that this wouldn't fit an 8-18lb babe appropriately.

This diaper did fit Cade who is 3.5 years old and 40 pounds, I will have to upload a photo soon. It was on the last snaps, but still fit without being too tight or digging into him. It of course also fit Ezio, who is almost 2 years old and roughly 29 pounds.

Not only is this diaper and it's "Ghostly Boo" print adorable, it fits both of my boys perfectly! This is the first diaper I reach for when changing Ezio, not even kidding. I'm quite surprised that Dan hasn't asked why he is always wearing it. I absolutely love Halloween and this is our first Halloween themed diaper. Personally, with my love for Halloween, my boys will continue to wear this diaper all through out the year! They will probably even have it on for a bit on Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays.

The diaper has a great serged edge creating a snug, but not too tight fit in the legs and no red marks are left behind. With Ezio's skinny waist, chubby tummy and thighs it can be a bit difficult to get a good fit where it's not too tight on his thighs, but is a good fit on his waist.

I love the absorbency of this diaper, while it is still trim! Trim enough to wear 18 month pants, which is his normal size instead of needing to wear a size bigger like with most cloth diapers. Cade has worn this diaper at nap time which is usually about 2 hours and he is a heavy wetter, he didn't need to be changed immediately nor did he leak! Ezio is an average wetter and has worn this diaper to bed for the night as well as nap time and during the day, while awake. He has not leaked yet and with the materials used to make this diaper, they will just become more absorbent the more it is washed. In fact, while Ezio is awake and we are at home, I don't even cover this diaper until the wet zone has wet through or I just change him. However, that takes at the least 1.5 hours as he is an average to even light wetter.

Over all I would definitely give this diaper a 5 out of 5 stars! Especially because it is one of very few diapers in which fit Cade without causing any pain or discomfort.
