Please ignore Cade being dirty, he is a boy after all. ;p
Cade absolutely LOVES his new blocks. He can be quite the block hog though. He helps me build and I help him, we share the blocks. I've gone through the colors with him, we have counted blocks as we built things. We have put the different shapes into piles, we put the colored blocks separate from the natural blocks, etc.
Ezio thinks he should use the blocks as wooden teethers. Cade shares his blocks with Ezio, even though they usually go back to Cade all drooled on from Ezio. I love watching my boys play together... okay more so share as Ezio is not correctly crawling yet. Jedilynn also likes to play and build with the blocks. She is a little mom so she will ask Cade what color is this block? This is a blue square, what is this Cade? They are so cute together!

Cade's 2nd Birthday Bash - Herr's Review

The history of Herr's dates back to 1946 when the story of Herr's foods began. It all began when James Stauffer Herr was 21 years old and bought a small potato chip company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for $1,750. In September of 1946 James Herr proposed to Mim after an annual farm show in West Lampeter. They married five months later. September of 1951 a fire broke out in the potato chip factory after Jim closed up and finished his deliveries. This was devastating for the factory. In 1952, with help from family, friends and the bank they bought 37 acres and built a new 4,500 square-foot plant. To accommodate the growth by 1956, they built a 7,000 square-foot warehouse. In 1958, the Herr's decided to start seasoning the chips. The barbeque chip was born. With more flavors to follow. Read more about the history of HERR'S here.

Do you live in Nottingham, PA? Schedule your FREE Herr's Factory Tour HERE! I wish we lived in PA so we could visit the Herr's Factory.
I apologize for my horrible picture! My LCD screen on my camera is broken and the boys were rushing me, I had to snap a super quick photo before the chips were devoured!
We received 7 bags of Herr's snacks. Buffalo Blue Cheese flavored cheese curls, Baby Back Ribs, American Hot Dog, Jalapeno Poppers flavored cheese curls, Sweet Onion, Hot Sauce and Ragin' Ranch chips from Herr's. I apologize for the horrible photo above, but Dan, his uncle and Cade were all pretty much attacking me for some chips even though Dan knew we were using at least five bags for the Birthday Party.
They really wanted the Baby Back Ribs, so the 3 of them sat on the couch, watched a movie and ate the entire bag... I didn't get a single Baby Back Rib chip! Normally Cade will bring me at least one of whatever he is eating, but I guess these chips were just that good that mom got none.
I ate about 1/2 the bag of Ragin' Ranch chips. I assumed they were just ranch flavored, and after the first chip I thought to myself, "Wow, these kind of have a little kick to them." Then I read the bag and they have a kick of pepper. It wasn't a bad or strong kick, I just wasn't expecting it. I loved the Ragin' Ranch chips.
We served the rest at the Birthday Party and everyone loved them.
Jedilynn loved the American Hotdog chips. I will honestly say that I was hesitant to try them as I was afraid they would taste like hotdog water.... however they did not. They tasted like a hot dog with ketchup and mustard on them. I'm not a big fan of mustard, but I can say I did enjoy the taste of the American Hotdog chips.
Buffalo Blue Cheese flavored cheese curls where another favorite of mine and Cade's. I do not like blue cheese so I was a little hesitant to try these as well, but I couldn't really tell that it was blue cheese instead of ranch, which I favor. The cheese curls were not too spicy, but not completely mild either.
I did not try the Sweet Onion, but my dad really likes them. Cade ate what was left from the party of the Jalapeno Poppers, Sweet Onion, some Buffalo Blue Cheese flavored cheese curls and the Hot Sauce chips. Might be mean of me, but it was quite funny... Cade took a bite of the Hot Sauce chips and must not have realized what they were because he sort of gagged and then wiped his tongue with a towel. However, they must not have been too hot and must have just caught him off guard as he went back to eating the majority of what was left.
We greatly enjoyed the Herr's products!

Cade's 2nd Birthday Bash - Peter Rabbit Organics Review & Giveaway US 8/5

PR Organics Ltd
PR Organics Ltd

Peter Rabbit Organics wants to help make it easier for parents to feed their children and even themselves healthy, organic foods. They try to run their business as sustainably and ethically as possible, with out compromising the quality and safety of their products.

A little about Peter Rabbit Organics, organic ingredients. Each one of the Peter Rabbit Organic pouches is packed full of 100% certified organic ingredients and made in Oregon. They never add additives, preserves or any other unrecognized ingredients you wouldn't use at home. No salt or sugar is ever added and the products are never diluted as that would only ruin the natural tastes of the Peter Rabbit organics. Peter Rabbit Organic products are USDA Organic certified!

The Peter Rabbit Organic packaging... Quality and safety is their top priority when it comes to packaging. The "squeezy puree pouches" are made from laminated films and BPA-free plastics.
Did you know these are not recyclable? This fact makes it clear to me that Peter Rabbit organics the safety and healthy of your children and yourself first.

You can find Peter Rabbit Organics in Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, buy buy baby, and a long list of other stores. Find one near you here. Or, you can buy online through Target, Diapers.com, Baby R' Us, Lucky Vitamins, OrganicDirect.com and Spud.com.

We received 3 different fruit and veggie pouches from Peter Rabbit Organics. Pear & Apple, Strawberry & Banana and Pumpkin, Carrot & Apple.

Ezio ate the Pumpkin, Carrot & Apple blend, he absolutely loved it! Sounds like a very weird combination to me and I normally at least dip my pinky into whatever I give my children, but this one I did not. Cade also tried a few spoonfuls of this one and he also really liked it. The Pumpkin, Carrot & Apples veggie blend contains organic apple, organic pumpkin, organic carrot and organic lemon juice concentrate. The lemon juice is used to keep the pouches fresh and tasting great.

Jedilynn ate 1/2 of the Strawberry & Banana fruit blend. She liked it, but wanted to share it with Cade. I tried a bit of this one and it tasted just like strawberries and bananas. I was actually bummed that we did not have any plain yogurt as I wanted to make a smoothie for the kids and I this puree. Cade ate the other 1/2 of the pouch and loved it. He wasn't too happy when it was empty. The strawberry & banana fruit snack contains organic strawberries, organic bananas and organic lemon juice concentrate. Again, the lemon juice is used to keep the snack fresh and great tasting.

Cade also ate the Pear & Apple fruit snack. I also gave Ezio a little bit of this one as well. Also, a great tasting puree that I'd also make a smoothie with. The Pear & Apple fruit snack contains organic pears and organic apple.

The pouches that the Peter Rabbit Organics are packaged in are awesome as the children or yourself can drink the puree straight from the pouch. No dirty dishes, no worrying about bringing a spoon with when on the go, etc. You just twist the cap off and drink. Or if you are feeding these to a baby like I did with Ezio, I just used a paper cup to put the puree in and then all I had was a baby spoon to wash. Cade ate a little bit of one of the purees in the car. It was an awesome car ride snack! No crumbs, no mess!

Purchase Peter Rabbit Organics for you and your children. But FIRST go here and print your coupon to use on any TWO pouches!

Cade's 2nd Birthday Bash - snackTAXI Review & Giveaway! US 8/4

Snack Taxi

snackTAXI is reusable Snack and Sandwich Sacks. snackTAXI is the environmentally friendly and reusable ziploc plastic bags! Use snackTAXI over and over again, instead of sending hundreds, thousands or even millions of plastic baggies to the landfills. snackTAXI's are made in a rural Massachusetts workshop by local sewers. snackTAXI is committedto keeping their business local and will never outsource their labor. I absolutely love local businesses, whether they are local to where I live or just local to the origin of the business, such as with snackTAXI!

We received two sandwich-sacks from snackTAXI to review. One is the jigsaw sandwich-sack and the other is a pandas NUT FREE sandwich-sack. I love both of the prints, but the pandas are my favorite. They are so cute, plus it is NUT FREE. Cade has a cashew allergy and we have been advised per his pediatrician to avoid ALL tree nuts for now, the NUT FREE on the sandwich-sack helps me feel reassured that if he were to be with a baby sitter or relative who may have forgotten about this allergy that the sandwich-sack tag will help remind them. The NUT FREE label also will keep the two sandwich-sacks separate so I wont have to worry and ask myself which one I usually put any products in that contain nuts.

I have roughly 2 cups of grapes in the jigsaw sandwich-sack and roughly 2 cups of baby carrots in the pandas NUT FREE sandwich-sack. I was still able to securely close both sandwich-sacks. There is this seal that seems to form once you close the sack. Not a single drop of water came out of either sack when I turned them upside down.

I rinsed mine clean as it was just water from the grapes and carrots in the sack. When I did so I filled them full of water and the water just slowly dripped out of the bottom two corners on each sack, due to the weight/pressure of the amount of water in them. The snackTAXI sacks are lined with a waterproof inner.

snackTAXIs are machine washable, the materials they are made with are FREE of lead, phthalates and BPA.
Did you know the US alone adds 20 million plastic baggies to landfills every single day?! That is a LOT! Each reusable bag you use keeps as many as 1,000 plastic bags out of the waste stream.

snackTAXI offers an array of different sacks, aprons, etc. Check them out and purchase your sack or other product(s) here

Cade's 2nd Birthday Bash - Vitamins Baby Blankie Buddies Review & Giveaway! US 8/3

We received two blue zebra blankie buddies from Vitamins Baby. Cade is my little Linus (from Charlie Brown). He is always carrying around his blankie so I knew he would love a blankie buddy. Ezio has the other blankie buddy and he loves his as well. It is a great thing to take along in the car as it is not big and bulky and during the hot summers the boys don't sweat like crazy in their car seats.

Vitamins Baby has a huge range of things from clothing, accessories, blankets, blankie buddies, etc. We have previously purchased Vitamins Baby items at our local Burlington Coat Factory and have loved their products. Good quality for a very reasonable price!

Cade's 2nd Birthday Bash - Zevia Review & Giveaway US 8/3

Zevia is an all natural, ZERO calories and no artificial sweeteners soda! The answer to diet soda. Sweetened with Stevia, Zevia is like a "sparkling" water to me.
We received several "Rainbow Cases" of Zevia for Cade's 2nd Birthday Party.
Guests at the party allowed their children to drink Zevia, which a little all natural soda every now and then wont hurt anything and the kids probably love the fact that they are drinking SODA! I love all the natural ingredients in Zevia. I felt it was fine for my six year old and two year old to drink. They both love Zevia, but they never drink regular soda. My grandma, who is diabetic does not drink regular sodas due to the sugar content and she does not drink diet sodas due to the containment of phenylalanine (an amino acid). Zevia is a great all natural soda because it allows those with medical problems to be able to consume it along with those on diets or even those who just avoid soda for their own personal reasons. My cousin has reoccurring kidney stones and she only drinks Zevia, which is where I first heard about Zevia. I myself am not a huge fan of anything "sparkling", I don't like the sparkling wines, sparkling water, and sadly I didn't care to much for Zevia, however I am a Mountain Dew addict so that could probably explain it. Aside from Zevia being all natural I also LOVE that Zevia is CLEAR!!! No stained area rugs (no carpet in our home), no stained furniture, no stained clothing, etc. Great for a toddler trying to master the whole drinking out of a regular cup.

Cade's 2nd Birthday Bash - Birthday Express Review

http://www.celebritydogwatcher.com/coupons/images/birthday_express_logo.gif

We received the Mod Monkey 2nd Birthday Basic Party Pack for 8  (ARV $23.99) from Birthday Express. Birthday Express has TONS of themes! Great prices! They also offer favor boxes, larger or smaller packages, etc. They also offer different event packages, baby shower, adult birthday, personalized themes, etc. I definitely recommend you checking them out for your upcoming parties!
This is what was in the pack we received. Sorry didn't get a chance to take photos.
The Mod Monkey 2nd Birthday Basic Party Pack for 8 included: 8 invitations, diner plates, cups, forks, spoons, activity place mats, 16 napkins, solid-colored tablecloth and 18 balloons (3 colors). The monkey on the Mod Monkey Party Pack is so cute! I couldn't pass it up. Ever since my baby shower for Cade he has received monkey items. And he sure lives up to being a monkey. The invitations were so cute, I usually do not send out invitations as they are quite expensive at our local stores here, but from Birthday Express you can get an eight pack including envelopes for just $3.59. The plates were durable. We had sloppy joes and pasta salad at Cade's Birthday Party and these plates held up! I was very pleased with the cups as well. They were the perfect size for the kids, not too big, but not too small and they were also durable. The cups did not crush or collapse when the children grabbed them. I know from experience children do not quite understand that they can not death grip certain things, but that was not a problem with these cups (they are paper, but pretty thick). The kids loved the activity place mats, they could play little games and or color them. Great products at a reasonable price.

Konvine Roll-Up Flats Review

Konvine

Do you wear high heels often or for a long period of time?
Do your feet hurt from those beautiful, but painful high heels?
Do you often wish you had a pair of comfortable flats that fit in your purse, so you could easily slip them on and still look nice in your outfit and not look silly with tennis shoes and a dress or skirt on?
If you answered yes then Konvine Roll-Up Flats are exactly what you need!

Konvine offers high heel pain relief with their, rollable, foldable, ballerina flats that are comfortable, convenient, and chic.  Great for many occasions, such as a night on the town, a wedding, traveling to and from work, around the office, etc.
Konvine has over 30 pairs of ballerina flats, in all different colors, emblems, etc.

I received a pair of the Leopard Rollups with Heart detail. I really like the flats, they are very cute and also so comfortable. I am not big on animal print, but these don't bother me, it's not too much like an animal print shirt or pants. I usually really dislike wearing anything on my feet, however, when wearing the Konvine Roll-up Flats, I didn't mind having them on my feet. These are the ONLY shoes I've worn on my feet for about a month now! There is very little wear and tear on them, all that I really notice is a bit of stretching in the material over my big toe and a few of the rhinestones have fallen off of the heart on my left foot (see picture). I have wide and "fat" feet, these flats are made very well!

Konvine Roll-up Flats come in a nice small box, rolled up with a white ribbon tied around them and they also come with a black bag.

I was very pleased with the Leopard Roll-Ups with Heart. My mom noticed the flats right away and tried stealing them from me.

Rescue!

My mother raised me to help EVERY and ALL living things! Whether they are human, "rodents", strays, etc. My godmother has four cats all thanks to my mom and myself finding them as tiny babies abandoned. We kept one of the five kittens.
So we try to help out any type of animal. Last week my mom and godmother were putting together a shed in the backyard. They would come sit on the front porch every so often as there is NO shade in the backyard before about 1:30 p.m. On one of their breaks, I beat them up to the front porch and I told my mom... I hear a scratching and I believe it is coming from the charcoal bin. So she moved the metal garden frog that was sticking out of the top of the charcoal bin for whatever reason. Sure enough, there was a baby possum in the charcoal bin. This was during our super hot and dry weeks. My mom moved the bin over underneath her Bonsai Tree as there was shade beneath it. And look what I got to see!!!

The little guy came out of the bucket, sniffed around the white trellis and then went around the back of the charcoal bin.

Sorry the picture above is so poor, he was a quick little guy so there was no time to zoom in on him. But, the picture below is the same as above, except it is the entire picture.
He barely had any hair on him. He pretty much refused to come out of the bin after this first trip around the bin he took. So my mom placed the bin on the side of the porch with a rock under the bottom so he wouldn't be trapped in the bin. He went under the porch a short while later.
We thought racoons lived under our front porch, which we are fine with as they are not causing any issues right now except the once in a while fright if we are sitting on the porch when they try to run under neath it, but they are pretty intimidated by us. I did have about a 10 minute stare off with a huge raccoon not to long ago, never broke eye contact and once I stood up he realized I was much bigger then him and he ran off. I assume there are now possums living under our porch as I've seen an adult possum scurry under there a few times with in the last few months and now there is this little guy.

Have you helped our a stray animal in need or even a wild animal or rodent?

I know most people wouldn't want to encourage life in a rodent such as a possum, but they are living things, this is how I was raised and I am proud and happy doing this. :)

nuNAAT Review & Giveaway US 7/30

All your hair can be

I received the nuNAAT Karite Special Collection to review. The nuNAAT Karite Special is an advanced formula with pure SHEA BUTTER that relieves dryness and restores a healthy moisture balance to the hair, leaving hair soft and shiny. Leaves no oily residue or build up.
nuNAAT Karite Special complete line features a total of 5 items:
  • Shampoo (8.4oz) - $5.49
  • Conditioner (8.6oz) - $5.49
  • Combing Cream (10.3 oz) - $5.99
  • Hair Mask (17.6 oz) - $6.99
  • AntiFrizz (5.2 oz) - $6.49
This collection is suggested for people with thick naturally curly hair (worn natural or chemically-processed) that is dry and in need of moisture retention, detangling control and softness.
Some benefits from the nuNAAT Karite Special line are that the products are packed with Vitamins A, D, E & F. Protects hair from harmful sun damage, which I really need as I have nearly black hair and during the summer with the sun beating down on my hair it feels like my hair is going to light on fire! No oily build-up or greasy residue, this is amazing it adds moisture to chemically-processed hair with out leaving it oily. I have naturally super oily hair, if I run my hand through my hair it is shiny from the oil. I can honestly say these products did their job with out causing my hair to become oily, which is something really hard for me to find, I've actually looked for the cheapest, crummiest shampoo with the most alcohol in it to try and tame down the oiliness of my hair, but that just damages your hair more and now I have found the perfect healthy and nourishing hair product line, that I have tried so far.
I was impressed with how the products and my oily hair responded with one another. I normally avoid conditioners at all costs as those usually cause my hair to become so oily I'm surprised I can't ring out the oil! However, the nuNAAT Karite Special conditioners did not at all cause my hair to have any more oil then normal. My hair is straight unless I style it while it is wet then it has a bit of a wavy curl to it. When it is dry, trait or a bit wavy it is usually pretty frizzy, especially with this humidity here, the Karite Thermo Active Anti-Frizz kept my hair from becoming frizzy and even though I have pretty straight hair it becomes very tangled and the Karite Special Leave-In Detangler (Combing Creme) made my hair so much easier to brush through. I have also started using the Detangler on my daughter's hair. She has super thick and curly Mexican hair, right now her hair is cut really short for the summer as thinning out her hair does not help at all. Usually brushing her hair is a fight, but the Karite Special Leave-In Detangler has made morning hair brushing so much more pleasant! She is no longer screaming or in tears from it, which makes all of us here happier!

Potty Covers Review & Giveaway! US/CAN 7/9

I received a six pack of Potty Cover. These retail for $5.99 and can be purchased on Amazon, at Buy Buy Baby or on ebay.  They are also available at select stores around the country at Bed Bath & Beyond.
Not only did the Potty Covers come in a resealable bag to keep them all nice and contained if you were to toss the entire six pack into your diaper bag, but each potty cover also came individually wrapped. I thought that was a nice touch so you can toss just one in the diaper bag or even in your purse if your just running to the store quick.
Potty Covers are a disposable toilet seat cover for children, to keep the germs and wetness away. It is made of a soft non-woven fabric on top, coated with a layer of plastic on the bottom, which creates a waterproof barrier between your child and the toilet seat.
The potty covers are nice and large, they cover the entire toilet seat along with the sides of the toilet and even the front of the toilet! Which is great if you have a little one who likes to swing their feet while on the toilet because then their clothes or legs don't touch the dirty toilet, which is covered in just as many yucky germs as the toilet seat.
I also like that the Potty Cover also covers pretty far back on the toilet seat so your child's shirt will rest on the potty cover instead of the back of the toilet, which is often pretty yucky in public restrooms.

JJ is six years old and likes to use Potty Covers in public restrooms. We will also be using Potty Covers with CJ who is two years old, once we start potty training him.

If you notice in the above photo the part of the Potty Cover which covers the toilet seat hangs over the sides a bit, which is great for allowing your child to hold onto the sides of the toilet. I know while potty training JJ she would hold onto the sides of the toilet seat to help keep herself from slipping through the seat and also to maintain her balance.

I would definitely say this is a product that a parent on-the-go needs! It is so easy to use, you just unfold it, lay it on the toilet and the over sized sides and the front flap just go to where they need to be.

In August 2010 Potty Cover was the #1 Selling Product in its category!! An Amazon Best Seller! How cool is that!?

Purchase Potty Covers through one of the links at the top of this review for $5.99.
