Jack and the Bean 13 - Ghostly Boo Fitted Cloth Diaper Review

Jack and the Bean 13 is run by a lovely momma named, Erin. She creates beautiful and unique cloth diapers and cloth wipes of great quality.

Ghostly Boo Hybrid Fitted Diaper

Ghostly Boo ($23.50ARV) is a OS hybrid fitted cloth diaper that is made with cotton knit outer with the print, a hidden layer of Polyfleece and cotton velour inner. All of these layers are then serged together, giving a nice and professional looking finish to the diaper it's self. Then there is a snap-in-snake style soaker with matching velour to the inner layer of the diaper as well as heavy organic bamboo fleece. In addition to this snap-in-snake style soaker there is also a 2 layer snap-in booster made of heavy organic bamboo. For snap placement we have a fold down rise, which I personally prefer over snap-down rises. This fold down rise fits babes from about 8 to 18 pounds. In all honesty, I am able to fold down the rise on Ezio, who is about 26-30lbs at nearly 2 years old, however, there is no doubt in my mind that this wouldn't fit an 8-18lb babe appropriately.

This diaper did fit Cade who is 3.5 years old and 40 pounds, I will have to upload a photo soon. It was on the last snaps, but still fit without being too tight or digging into him. It of course also fit Ezio, who is almost 2 years old and roughly 29 pounds.

Not only is this diaper and it's "Ghostly Boo" print adorable, it fits both of my boys perfectly! This is the first diaper I reach for when changing Ezio, not even kidding. I'm quite surprised that Dan hasn't asked why he is always wearing it. I absolutely love Halloween and this is our first Halloween themed diaper. Personally, with my love for Halloween, my boys will continue to wear this diaper all through out the year! They will probably even have it on for a bit on Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays.

The diaper has a great serged edge creating a snug, but not too tight fit in the legs and no red marks are left behind. With Ezio's skinny waist, chubby tummy and thighs it can be a bit difficult to get a good fit where it's not too tight on his thighs, but is a good fit on his waist.

I love the absorbency of this diaper, while it is still trim! Trim enough to wear 18 month pants, which is his normal size instead of needing to wear a size bigger like with most cloth diapers. Cade has worn this diaper at nap time which is usually about 2 hours and he is a heavy wetter, he didn't need to be changed immediately nor did he leak! Ezio is an average wetter and has worn this diaper to bed for the night as well as nap time and during the day, while awake. He has not leaked yet and with the materials used to make this diaper, they will just become more absorbent the more it is washed. In fact, while Ezio is awake and we are at home, I don't even cover this diaper until the wet zone has wet through or I just change him. However, that takes at the least 1.5 hours as he is an average to even light wetter.

Over all I would definitely give this diaper a 5 out of 5 stars! Especially because it is one of very few diapers in which fit Cade without causing any pain or discomfort.
