Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash Review

Disclosure: I received the below product in exchange for my honest review. All opinions and experiences are my own and may differ from those of your own. I am responsible for the fulfillment of the winner(s) prize(s) for the below giveaway.

Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash

Dial's Miracle Oil body wash is infused with Marula Oil and is formulated with Micro Oil Technology, this restoring body wash's rich, clean-rinsing lather leaves skin feeling clean, soft and smooth.

What is Marula Oil?
Marula is Africa's Secret Oil, it is an all-natural, cold pressed, highly nutritious and light textured oil. It is derived from a fruit in Africa, the fruit contains four times as much Vitamin C as an Orange! The leaves and bark from a Marula tree have wonderful properties but the skin care properties of natural Marula Oil are perhaps the best of all. It is a healing oil that is widely used for its medicinal benefits by Southern African women and man and has been part of numerous beauty rituals for centuries to protect the skin and hair from the harsh and dry weather conditions.

Scientific research has revealed and confirmed the secrets of Marula Oil. It is a multipurpose oil that contains powerful antioxidants, high concentrations of nutrients, minerals and essential fatty acids that protect against environmental aggressors, reverse photo damage, boost cellular activity, hydrate at the deepest levels and repairs the skin. Marual Oil also have anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties that reduce the need for preservatives. Marula Oil is clear, pale, golden-brown color with a pleasant sweet aroma.

Our Review

We received a bottle of Dial Miracle Oil for review. I absolutely loved using this body wash on myself, it left my skin so soft and silky smooth. I love that it is not greasy like you may expect from oil being in the name.

Since it was so nice and gentle, I figured it would be okay for Ezio who has many food allergies and eczema. So I gave it a try on Ezio and Cade who are 3 and 4 years old. Neither one of them had any sort of negative reaction to the body wash. It also left both of their skin nice and soft. Cade's eczema is much more subtle then Ezio's, but Cade does have sensitive skin and he's had a rash from pull-ups every since he was potty training, it eases a bit now and then, but he still wears pull-ups to bed so his poor little bum is rather dry and covered in a rash. I will continue to use this body wash on him to see if it will help to restore more healthy skin. As for using it on Ezio, I loved the Dial Miracle Oil body wash! Usually the morning after his bath, his skin is fairly rough, however after using this I have not noticed his skin to be quite so rough. I am hoping for continued success and relief for my boys' skin with continued use of this body wash.

Marula Oil is ideal for dry, dehydrated, sensitive, sun damaged skin, stretchmarks, scar tissue while providing nutrition to the skin. It softens and minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also improves and restores skin elasticity for a more youthful and radiant skin. Marula Oil can also improve skin tone and firmness.  As well as soothing irritation.

It is fast absorbing and light with a non-greasy texture, making it perfect for dry, sensitive skin. It is appropriate for use with all skin types.

The Eczema Company - Hazelwood Necklace & Oatmeal Cookie Bath Soak Review AND $30 GC Giveaway! WW 1/9

The Eczema Company

The Eczema Company is a family built company which was created to help others dealing with the daily challenges of managing eczema. The Roberge family knows first hand about the intense itching and how desperate you can get for finding something to help make your little one more comfortable as their son was diagnosed with eczema at three months old. At just three years old 90% of his body was covered in what looked like severe burns, caused by his eczema worsening as he grew older. Around the age of three years old they discovered that he has many food allergies and sensitivities. Some of these food allergies lead to his eczema flare-ups and some lead to immediate itching. Since they've found out what his triggers are, his skin is much better!

Hazelwood Necklace
Healing Jewelry

Hazelwood Necklaces ($17.97ARV) are amazing non-medication alternatives for minimizing or even eliminating eczema. A common eczema trigger is an imbalance in the body's acidity and since the hazel tree is an alkaline wood it naturally oxidizes when placed next to the skin, thus reducing the overall acidity in the body over time. The Canadian Indians have used hazelwood for centuries as a natural pain reliever.

Hazelwood Benefits
  • Great for soothing pain related with eczema, teething, indigestion and diaper rash.
  • Wear continuously for best results. It may take up to several weeks for symptoms to lessen.
  • Water resistant, but not waterpoof. Best to avoid chlorine which will shorten the jewelry's lifespan.
  • Safe for ages four months and up.
  • Lead Free.
  • Made in Canada.
I knew Ezio had eczema for months before we seen our first allergist who "officially" diagnosed it. I was able to keep it under control and still can. It is easier during the summer then it is in the winter as we live in a really dry house. Usually his eczema only affects his legs, but also his arms and sometimes his cheeks. He's even had an eczema flare-up which was on his bum! That was a bit baffling as the diaper area is usually damp.

Ezio's legs were pretty rough, even after using natural moisturizing lotions and such. When we received the hazelwood necklace, I put it on him right away. I can honestly say that I've seen quite the improvement in his skin since he's been wearing this necklace. The necklace has hazelwood beads and cute little blue beads, which makes it perfect for little boys. We've received a ton of comments about how cute his necklace is on him. The necklace fits his neck perfectly! Not too loose, but not tight at all! He is not able to lift the necklace to his mouth, which is a rule of thumb I always go by for the kids. He has never tugged on the necklace, other then lifting it off of his neck in the picture above to show daddy his new necklace.

Ezio has broken about 3 necklaces of mine so I no longer wear a necklace and he has broken 2 of my mom's bracelets. However, he has been wearing this necklace for weeks and has not broken it! I was a bit nervous when we first got it that he'd tug on it and snap the necklace, however he has not! It's like he doesn't even notice on him as it's light weight.

Oatmeal Cookie Bath Soak

Oatmeal Cookie Bath Soak ($5.95/1ozARV or $14.95/5.5ozARV) is a great way to gently soothe the itching from eczema in babies and adults. They contain certified gluten free/certified organic oats as well as calming and healing flowers and plants to help relieve eczema, chicken pox, poison ivy/oak, sunburn, scrapes, minor burns and cuts as well as itchy bellies of mamas-to-be.

These are perfect for Ezio as he LOVES bath time! Bathes and just playing water period is so much better to him then even eating and he's my little piggy! During the summer months when we have the pool set up, we have to drag him in the house in order to get him to eat. But, anyhow, I will say, I was greatly surprised by how soft and smooth his skin was when he got out of his first ever oatmeal bath. This oatmeal bath also seems to really help relieve the itching of his hives, which he has everyday since we're still trying to figure out what he is allergic to. He scratches quite often and even has some slight scars from scratching both the hives as well as his eczema patches. I did definitely notice a huge decrease in his itching for probably a day or two after taking the oatmeal bath. I am definitely thinking about getting a 5.5oz tub of this oatmeal bath for him! Some nights, Ezio just can't fall asleep or stay asleep due to the itchiness. Often times giving him a bath will help relieve this itching, the oatmeal bath worked so much better!

The Eczema Company has so many other wonderful products for helping with eczema as well, if you or your loved one suffers from eczema I highly recommend taking a look at the Eczema Company to find some things that will help provide some relief.

 Dr. Wood's Bar Soaps

Dr. Wood's bar soaps come in nine different scents that help you best match your skin's needs. All of the bar soaps are made with Castile soap. Dr. Wood's soaps are very mild, moisturizing and because they originate from Castile, Spain the soaps are vegetable based, containing no animal fat. These bar soaps are versatile and great for everyday use as body wash, facial cleanser, shampoo and even bath soaks. These soaps do not contain any harsh detergents which can strip away your skin's natural moisture and they are rich in Vitamin E which leave your skin feeling naturally soft and clean. Castile Soap contain olive oil which gives it the natural healing properties and the ability to attract  moisture as well as hold it close to your skin to form a breathable layer that prevents moisture loss.

These bar soaps are available in 5 frangrances, which are; Almond, Baby Mild, Peppermint, Lavender and Tea Tree. They also have 4 other bar soap scents which you can find here

We received the Baby Mild bar of Dr. Wood's Castile soap. It has a very mild clean scent to it and is rather enjoyable. The soap lathers up great on skin as well as on a damp or wet rag. Ezio and Cade both have sensitive skin and eczema. This is the first bar soap I have used on them and it really was not as tough to accomplish as I thought it would be. As I figured, liquid soap must be easier right? I mean you can squirt as much as you would like into your hand and the get everyone of your little chunker chunk rolls nice and clean. Well lathering up my own hands with the Dr. Wood's bar soap and then washing up the boys was just as easy! The only thing I had to do different was to try and keep Ezio away from the bar of soap. I'm not sure why, but he loves to chew on or maybe just eat soap! I hope he doesn't grow up with a potty mouth because at this point he would be gladly eating a bar of soap for cursing and not have a care in the world about doing so.

Mommy's little helper showing off his new soap!

When I use traditional fragrance body washes on the boys they often end up developing a rash from being sensitive to the fragrance as well as their eczema flaring up. We had none of that with the Dr. Wood's Castile bar soap in Baby Mild. The boys bodies were so soft, just as babies should and I noticed that the slight rough patches that Ezio was starting to get on his thigh and knee were much smoother and softer when he was out of the bath. Jedilynn has also used this bar soap and she says that she really likes it. Even after she got out of the tub after using the bar soap she came to me and rubbed her arm and told me, "Mommy, this soap made my skin model soft!". What a cutie hey?!  She comes up with some the best things!

I truly like the Dr. Wood's bar soap and would love to try some other scents. Having the Baby Mild to try out first is amazing because the boys usually take a bath just before bedtime, which can be bad if I use a scented soap because then Ezio more often the Cade, will be up all night or most of it just uncomfortable from being itchy. I love our very restful nights with using this soap.

Dr. Wood's also have other products such as; Organic Oils, Liquid Soaps and Shea Vision Facial Cleansers.

Our Old Man Murray's Soaps!

We received the Big Sky Country, Lavender and of course Honey Butter!

Big Sky Country
Big Sky Country is a blend of sage, lemongrass and mint with exfoliating calendula petals from Montana's prairie lands. Big Sky country has a 20% coconut oil base which provides a quick, rich and moisturizing lather. Popular for both men and women, think of a pristine wide-open space with fresh, clean air!
I got Big Sky Country for Dan, but unfortunately he did not care for this scent so I use it for myself. I like using Big Sky Country in the morning, it's a nice refreshing start to my day.

 Lavender
Lavender is great for unwinding after a long day as well as a good de-stress with the soothing fragrances of luxurious pure lavender essential oils and comfrey root which soothes and hydrates your skin. Great for both men and women alike. Also has a base of 20% coconut oil which provides a quick, rich and moisturizing lather.
I chose Lavender for myself and the children. We LOVE Lavender! I used to use the commercial baby bath and baby bedtime lotions as they contained lavender, but they also have all of those harsh chemicals and with the boys having eczema I no longer feel comfortable using those on them. Lavender helps soothe the mind and is great for those of all ages to get a good nights sleep, allowing you to fall asleep a bit easier.

Honey Butter
Honey Butter is a rich and nutritious soap that is great for extra sensitive skin as it is unscented. It is made with Certified Fair Trade unrefined shea butter with a touch of honey and finely ground oatmeal which acts as the most gentle of exfoliators. Also has a 20% coconut oil base providing a quick, rich and moisturizing lather.
Honey Butter is great for the whole family, whether you have sensitive skin or not! This one is my absolute favorite! This is perfect for my boys and has helped to soothe their skin so much. They are no longer as itchy and I've seen a LOT less rashes/patches on them of their eczema. I also use this and my skin is so nice and soft, as soft as the boys. Who doesn't want baby toddler soft skin?!  Our bar of Honey Butter is almost gone!! I'm rather sad about it, but we will just have to order more.

All of the Old Man Murray's soaps lather amazingly well, clean your skin and the Honey Butter even helps exfoliate! Not only that, but it helps to lessen and soothe my two son's eczema, which is a HUGE plus!
