#summerfluffing Mother Earth Baby Shop - Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted Review & $20 GC Giveaway! US 7/17-7/31

Lisa Emmons started her journey of cloth diapering in 2000 when she was looking for ways to become more environmentally responsible with the birth of her fist son, Alex. Back in 2000 cloth diapering choices were very limited, Lisa and her husband struggled to find cloth diapers that fit their son correctly as he was a larger baby and a heavy wetter. Lisa gave birth to their second son, Daniel in 2002 and while there were a few more options, they were still limited. Then, in 2008 their daughter, Olivia was born and they again explored cloth diapering options to help support their eco-friendly lifestyle. As they explored cloth diapering one more time they noticed they had evolved quite a bit since 2000. Lisa and her husband found that cloth diapering had become easier and more enjoyable to use. This is where Lisa's passion for modern cloth diapers had begun. But, retailers for these products in her area were not available forcing them to travel quite a distance to purchase them. She began connecting with other cloth diapering parents and found that they were also experiencing the same issues. Lisa decided to put her passion to good use and create a business focused on providing cloth diapers and other natural, eco-friendly options for families. Read more at mebabyshop.com.

Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted

Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted ($17ARV) comes in a variety of fun colors and is so super soft, soft enough to want to use it as a pillow!! Available in snap or aplix, gentle elastic around legs and waist to help provide superb protection against leaks. Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted Diapers are available in two sizes, Size One is for 6-18lbs/0-9 months and Size Two is for 18-40lbs/9-36+ months.

Crafted from stretchy, buttery soft textiles with a stay-dry liner, offering superior wetness protection for baby's delicate skin. Super easy to use, no snap in soakers to hold in place while trying to fasten the diaper around baby. The sewn in soaker is made of a spongy microfiber terry that can absorb up to seven times its weight in liquid! These fitted diapers have a sleeve or tunnel system, which means that the soaker is sewn into the diaper only along the sides, leaving the front and back open allowing more water to flow through during washing and faster drying. You can also stuff a Thirsties Duo Doubler into this tunnel if more absorbency is needed. This tunnel systems helps these fitteds become more clean easier. As these are fitteds, they are not waterproof on their own, so they should be covered, Thirsties Duo Wraps are great covers for all fitteds.

Fitted diapers are my new love and the Thirsties Duo Fab Fitted has to be one of my top favorite fitteds! I love how soft it is leaving no irritation on either of the boys inner thighs, a lot of PUL leaves their inner thighs red from friction as they are always on the go. The diaper is super absorbent! I've used it over night on Cade, my 3year old heavy wetter, who weighs about 39lbs as well as on Ezio, my 18 month old who is about 26lbs and an average wetter.

Thirsties Fab Fitteds look a bit bulky, but they are rather trim when on baby, the Thirsties Duo Wraps are also trim. Don't mind the look on Mr. Crabby Ezio's face, above. I absolutely love the fit I can get on both of my boys with this diaper, even though it is on the lowest rise setting for Ezio, it's not too bulky or anything like that. Both of the boys can wear this diaper for at least a couple house with out a cover! Since it's been warmer now that we're in summer, Ezio has been drinking like a fish. He'll suck down an 8 ounce cup of water in minutes and want more, so this is a pretty impressive diaper.
