Tego Audio CERA Bluetooth Wireless Portable Speaker Review

CERA Wireless Portable Speaker

CERA Wireless Portable Speaker ($89.99ARV) has Version 3.0 Bluetooth Technology which allows for a faster connection and better sound quality. This speaker is compatible with most Bluetooth enabled device, such as iPad®, iPod®, iPhone®, MP3, MP4, Laptop and PC. I've been using it with my Laptop (Samsung Notebook running W8 and has Bluetooth capabilities). You can stream audio from your Bluetooth enabled device from approx. 33ft away, this is perfect as I can leave my laptop in the house and sit in the back yard with my children while they play and we can enjoy music through out CERA speaker! You can also plug this speaker into your devices that are not Bluetooth enabled with the headphone jack that is included.

On the top of the CERA is an Illuminated touch control panel and there is 360° expanding sound chamber illuminated with blue lighting.Illuminating the touch control panel as well as around the sound chamber was absolutely genius! You could use this at night while around a camp fire or whenever and you'll be able to see what you need on the touch control panel as well as be able to see where you placed your CERA so it's not accidentally knocked over, stepped on, etc. There are also Voice notifications when CERA is on, in pairing mode, and pairing complete. Simple pairing with most Bluetooth® enabled devices.

This wireless speaker has an internal Litium Ion Battery that recharges over a USB. You can get up to 5-7 hours playtime on a full charge. It can take approx. 2-3 hours to gain a full charge, which isn't bad as the playtime is double to amount of time it'll take to charge.5-7 hours of playtime, to me, is a great length of time! Just remember to place it on the charger every so often if you don't use it for the full 5-7 hours in one go. You could definitely play a game of soccer or whatever sport and have the CERA play during the entire game and then some.

These speakers also come with a new Daisy Chain function which allows you to play an infinite number of CERA's at the same time! So if all, a few or some of your friends and/or family have CERA speakers too, have them bring them with them as well to your next outing and enjoy the music from multiple CERA's at the same time.

We received the black CERA wireless speaker and Dan's first question was... "Is it a Magic 8 Ball?". I hadn't told him what it was yet and it really does look like a mini Magic 8 Ball. Much lighter though! 

I've used this speaker a variety of times and fashions already. While working with my mom we used this speaker. She re-glazes bath tubs. While she does have a smart phone that plays music, you can't quite hear it over the two of use scrapping the old stuff off of the bath tub, nor can you hear her phone over the machine for when she re-glazes the tub. Okay, well that machine is super loud and we couldn't fully hear the CERA either, but the CERA definitely came in handy and was very pleasant while we were scrapping the bath tub.

I also use the CERA speaker while outside with the kids. They love music and love to dance. This is so much better then having to drag my laptop outside and not really being able to hear it over the kids. Plus, the kids love the blue light and my daughter and her high techiness asked me if there was a setting to make the blue illuminated light dance to the beat of the music. Now that I think about it, I should send her request to Tego Audio! 

The CERA speaker would be great for camping trips, sporting events, playing sports with your friends and even a day at the beach. Who wouldn't love music at all of the above place and more places too?
