Back to School with Children's Claritin Allergy Tips!

One of the things I 'dread' most about back to school is that it goes hand in hand with seasonal allergies. I myself have a bad allergy to Ragweed and being a pretty busy of three kiddos I don't have to be suffering from allergies, nor do I want my children to suffer from them. When you personally know how frustrating seasonal allergies can be, you have a much better understanding then if they were to not affect you.

Some Great Back to School Allergy Tips!
  • Always have Children's Claritin, the #1 pediatrician-recommended non-drowsy allergy brand, on hand!
  • Multi-vitamins are building blocks to having a strong immune system. Make them part of your child(ren)'s daily routine.
  •  Mold does not like sunlight, so try to keep your curtains open during the day.
  • Most pillows trap allergens, dust mites and bacteria. Monitor the cleanliness of your child's pillow.
  • Be sure to remove laundry from the washing machine promptly as allowing the clothes to sit in the washer means that mold can quickly grow.
  • Did you know that dry, windy days can be particularly high in pollen? Monitor pollen counts and adjust outdoor before and after school activities accordingly.
  • Showers and bathes are best at the end of the day instead of in the morning as this can help remove allergens from the body's surface and hair.
  • Always send your child to school with a bottle of water. Drinking lots of clear fluids through out the day can help get rid of toxins and flush out the body, so stay hydrated.
  • Peak pollen production typically occurs in early morning, so try to plan outside activities at other time through out the day.
