My Thoughts:

With several family members having food allergies we will be able to prepare fun to eat healthy foods that meet their dietary needs. These versatile bags are not only perfect for school, daycare, and day trips, but over night at Grandma's house or for grownups to take to work. I received the tip to put a bit of food in the bag and then expand the base to open it up. Using a small funnel that I cut for canning I easily filled the bag with a yogurt smoothie and offered it to my four year old Granddaughter. She loved and had me refill it with more for her. When we were done the little SqueezeMe bag washed up easily with soap, water, and a bottle brush. l am very pleased with the quality and value of this product.

Lightload Towels - Reusable Pocket Beach Towel Review & Giveaway! US 10/12

Lightload Towels were created by George "Wideload" (trail moniker) Wheeler who has been an avid long distance hiker for many years. In 1999 he completed the 2160 mile Appalachian Trail, then the year after he hiked 540 miles from Virginia to West Virginia on the A.T. all over again. It was an incredible experience repeated. It was in on his 99 Thru hike that he got the idea for Lightload Towels. Finally last year "Wideload" hiked the 270 mile Long Trail in Vermont from the Canadian border to the Mass-Vermont border. It's the oldest long distance hiking trail and was conceived on Stratton Mountain, Vermont the same place that the Appalachian Trail was given birth to some years later. This also was very magical and he hopes one day to redo the adventure. He has also spent about 8 years living in Asia, there he had the opportunity to lead hikes in Taiwan and do hikes in Nepal, Pakistan and China. He also has an interest in camping. He has spent time in many of America's national forests including the Ochoco (Oregon), Davy Crockett (Texas), San Francisco (New Mexico) and many others.

It's no surprise to me how and why Lightload Towels were created. They are perfect for all different situations from use as a normal towel on the go at the beach, neighborhood pool or water park with out having to bring a huge beach bag over flowing with over sized towels to a useful survival tool. These towels fit in your pocket, yes, you can go to the beach with your entire towel in your POCKET! Not sure about others, but as a mom of three children I am rather tired of having to bring a huge diaper bag or tote bag over flowing with random things we may or may not need. It would be so nice, stress-free and probably even relaxing if we were to go to the beach with just ourselves and no huge bag because we could have our towel in our pockets!

Lightload Beach Towels are made of wickable fabric making it a survival tool because it insulates against heat and cold. The material it is made of is 100% viscose which is made from cellulose. It is considered a natural fiber like cotton and linen (unlike microfiber). The pack that the towel comes in is a tight space and is ultralight weight at only 5oz. Our cat just had a litter of kittens and one of her kittens was 5oz at birth! Super light weight. It is also very compact, the pack is 3.5" in diameter and 11" in girth as well as 1/2" wide. The packaging is also waterproof. It is also said to be more absorbent then cotton and microfiber.

These beach towels are the only towels that are survival tools. You can use them as a towel, wash cloth, fire starter, first aid supplement, diaper, insulator, static electricity insulator, mask and so much more!

These towels are the most energy efficient towels in that they need little energy to carry, wash and dispose.

Add water to the towel or start wiping water off you to soften and open it easier. They're very soft against the skin. Hand washing your lightload towel is best and try to keep it dry when possible. The towels are reusable.

We have not yet used ours, we keep it in the van in case we ever need it in the event of an emergency. However, I did open it to see the size of our Lightload Beach Towel and it is a great size!

Reusable Swiffer Wet Jet Mop Pads

Moo Cow Momma's Reusable Swiffer Wet Jet Mop Pads ($14.99/2) are sold in sets of two and are made of fleece and flannel with two strips of velcro along the top to attach to your Swiffer. The flannel on these are absorbent as well as great for grabbing onto and scrubbing away dirt while the fleece edges help to scrub the tough and stuck on dirt, food or spilled beverages. The fleece is also great for baseboards and low edges.

Barbara uses strong velcro that holds the mop pads on even while trying to scrub a touch spot on the floor. She double stitches the velcro on so that they will last longer.

Once you've used your mop pads you can just toss them in the wash, no special washing instructions either! I rinsed mine in the sink first as my floor was pretty dirty! I had just gotten a new Swiffer after Ezio left my previous one on the floor and it was covered by some clothes he decided to take out of the dresser drawers... I accidentally stepped on the handle and broke it so for a while I had to wash my floor with just plain water that I would pour onto the floor. Anyhow... they rinsed out in the sink pretty nicely and I definitely could use them again after just a quick rinse in the kitchen sink.

The lighting in my kitchen is a bit bad for taking pictures. But I can definitely see a difference and in person it looked and felt a ton cleaner!

Cupcake Covers Cloth Diaper Starter Kit includes a pail liner that is 23" by 26" and will fit into a 13 gallon kitchen garbage can and can hold roughly 40 cloth diapers. A medium travel wet bag with a snapping strap, you can easily snap the strap around the bar or handle of your stroller while on the go, or even strap it onto your changing table or possibly onto your diaper organizer. This wet bag can hold 4-6 cloth diapers, perfect for any day long adventures. Both the wet bag and pail liner are made with a thick PUL, making them strong, thick, bulletproof to leaks and long lasting!

I love the thickness of this pail liner and wet bag, I know it wont delaminate nearly as quickly as my last one did from one of the larger known brands for wetbags and pails liners. This pail liner from Cupcake Covers does not seem to have so much pressure pulling at the waterproof layers, much sturdier and more durable then my other pail liner, which was much thinner. The wetbag is great, I love that the strap has a snap on it so you can hang it from things other then a door knob or other then carrying it around your wrist.

While I do have a trash can to put my pail liner in, I seem to prefer to just hang it on the end of my Munchkins diaper organizer. It leaves the pail liner open still for air to get through, but not wide open as it would be in a pail. Ezio thinks it is great fun to take our clean diapers and put them in the pail liner, whether there are dirty diapers in it or not. With the pail liners semi closed like this he is LESS likely to put the boys' clean diapers in the pail liner.

I was able to fit about 4 cloth diapers in the wet bag 'comfortably', I could have probably stuffed 1-2 more inside, but didn't want to push it.

These wet bags are double stitched and French seamed to insure the most amount of protection against leaking and wicking.

Cloth Wipes

This cloth diaper starter kit also comes with a dozen cloth wipes. There will be 4 hemp, 4 bamboo and 4 flannel wipes all measuring 8" x 8". A nice variety of fabrics, especially for a mom new to cloth diapers. These wipes are so soft, absorbent and a great size! I only need to use one wipe per diaper change, whether it just wet or soiled and really in all honesty, I save these for the poop diapers and use some other wipes that I have, which are smaller for just wet diapers. The prints are just absolutely adorable as well, which always a nice plus. Cade, my 3 year old was so excited that there were robots on a couple of the wipes!

This is the perfect cloth diaper starter kit anyone who is looking to start cloth diapering. I know when I first started, I really didn't think about a pail liner, wet bag and/or wipes. I was just into all of the cute diapers and honestly overwhelmed with all of the choices!

Yummi Pouch Review & Giveaway US/CAN 7/31

Yummi Pouch was born in 2001 when they noticed that while numerous brands of disposable food pouches were available babies and young children there were hardly any reusable food pouches in existence. They wanted to provide families with a convenient container to fill with smoothies and healthy blended snacks for active children!

Yummi Pouch can hold 6oz, has a stand-up bottom (awesome for filling the pouch), BPA & phthalate FREE, it is also eco-friendly, dishwasher and freezer safe as well as refillable and recyclable. It also has an extra wide easy-fill zipper opening, which really does help making filling the Yummi Pouch a lot easier!

Ezio's love for Yummi Pouch!

We received a 6 pack of Yummi Pouches (ARV$14.99) and the first thing I noticed was the awesome wide opening at the top! I absolutely love the wide opening on the Yummi Pouch! Super easy to fill as the opening stays open enough to fit a spoon in pretty well! Plus most of the food I've put into our Yummi Pouch slides nicely off of the spoon right inside with no mess!! Super plus for a mommy of two toddlers, who often has at least one arm occupied by one of the boys!

Yummi Pouches are super easy to rinse out and refill. Ezio often wants his pouch refilled immediately after finishing what I've just put in there so it is really nice that I'm able to rinse it quickly and refill with little fuss from him as he thinks it should happen instantly.

It is so much easier and much less of a mess to put so many healthy snacks that Ezio absolutely loves into the Yummi Pouch! I don't always use this though, I do let him use a spoon to feed himself applesauce and not such runny foods every other time so he can master using a spoon as well. Ezio's loves eating yogurts, banana puree (he refuses to touch a banana), apple sauces and tons of other things we've tried in the Yummi Pouch. I had some original and natural applesauce cups which neither Cade nor Ezio would eat, so when I put Ezio's into the pouch, I added a few dashes of cinnamon, zipped the top closed and shook and squeezed back and forth on the Yummi Pouch to mix in the cinnamon. The zip lock closure top did not budge, allowing no applesauce to escape and when I opened the pouch the cinnamon was nicely spread through out the applesauce! Awesome! No need to dirty a bowl and spoon to mix in some added flavoring.
