Sadie Flower Designs - Custom Hand Painted Monster High Shoes Review

 Sadie Flower is the amazing artist behind the custom shoes at Sadie Flower Designs, she is also an aspiring freelance artist and has artwork available in various forms. When I came across Sadie Flower Designs on Etsy I knew I needed to see a pair of her beautifully hand painted shoes in person. I requested a Monster High inspired pair for my daughter, absolutely amazing! 

Monster High Inspired Hand Painted Shoes ($60ARV) are a one of a kind, unique creation. Each shoe, no matter the theme or design is custom made to the customers liking. For these shoes my daughter chose two of her favorite Monster High characters; Cleo De Nile on right shoe and Clawdeen Wolf on the left shoe. 

I am astonished by all of the little detail with in the two characters, these are absolutely amazing. My daughter's jaw dropped when she opened this present. When I told her they were hand painted she was in even more awe.

Everyone at Jada's party absolutely loved the shoes and asked where I found them. There was discussion among the adults on what designs they'd all love on a pair of shoes for themselves.

These custom hand painted shoes are purely amazing, wait I've already said that... they are created with sharpie on canvas shoes and then a protective sealant is applied over that to help preserve the art work. All around the shoes there is artwork, nothing is left blank/unworked. These take so much amazing talent. I'm not sure that Jada will completely wear these out, I have a feeling they will sit on her dresser more than she wears them as she will cherish them. She has a heart for art and is quite the little artist herself so she will definitely fully appreciate the time and talent that was put into these.

Chael Designs - Absolutely Amazing Handcrafted Shoes!

 

I was super excited about receiving these shoes from Chael Designs and when I had them in hand they were even more amazing then what I was expecting. Cade received the Hulk shoes and Ezio received the SpiderMan shoes, their favorite characters. The boys had big smiles on their faces when they opened the box and discovered their new shoes.  

Spider Man!

 Spider Man is awesome! Ezio brings us his shoes all the time to put them on, even when he's not dressed. He's just happy to be wearing them, we don't even have to be going anywhere. He has store bought boring Spider Man shoes that light up and he's more into these! I'll get a photo of him wearing them and upload it, it's so hard to get him to hold still, I just have not been able to get a good photo. The shoes themselves fit wonderfully and the Spider Man images are securely attached to the shoes. 

HULK!

Hulk is super awesome as well! Cade absolutely loves "Hulk Man" as he calls him. When he first seen them he did say he liked them, but I think he was pretty speechless. He wore them with his Hulk shirt he just got for his birthday and he was quite the happy little boy! His shoes fit him perfectly as well! 

Can you tell I had a little fun taking photos of these, I think I was just as excited as the boys! I wish they fit me! Both boys wore their amazing shoes on Saturday for the first time to their cousin's birthday party and they are the first thing EVERYONE noticed as we walked up. The boys got so many comments on their awesome shoes, they were both smiling from ear to ear. Since they are a bit more delicate than store bought shoes or painted shoes, this probably wasn't the best idea. With all of the running they had done there are a few small cracks near the front sides, but nothing major. I'm sure had we not gone to a party and they weren't running around outside for about 5 hours straight, the shoes probably would be showing little wear. Even yet, I'm sure we can repair them easily and they can continue to wear them. Even if the designs come off before they outgrow the shoes they can still wear them. They are little boys and things don't last forever with them. I really just want to repair them and put the shoes up, but then that would sort of defeats the purpose of them being tennis shoes. In the midst of the boys getting so many compliment the question came that I knew I'd be asked, "Where are Jada's new shoes?". Jada wears a size 8.5 in women's and is only 9 years old, I didn't want Yolanda, the sweet lady behind Chael Designs to be uber swamped as I needed, well wanted the shoes in time for Cade's Birthday Bash. Maybe in the future I can get Jada her own pair. 

Absolutely awesome custom shoes! I don't know what else to say about them or how else to get the point across about how awesome and amazing they are! We greatly thank Chael Designs for sharing her talent with us and working with us!

The printing process in which Heather Rogers Designs goes through is a process in which the actual fibers with in the fabric are dyed. This process not only leaves a beautiful, bright and long lasting design on your item, but it also leaves the fabric feeling soft.

I chose the Awesome Moms Get Promoted To (Insert your own name) T-shirt ($20ARV) for my mom. She is truly an amazing mother and has never failed in the promotion to Grams so I definitely had to choose this shirt for a fun prize for her when I was searching Heather Rogers Designs. With this t-shirt and many other products from Heather, you can personalize it with the name of the person whom the item will be for. Like if we got this shirt for Dan's mom, we could have personalized it with Nana instead of Grams. You can also customize your color options and some other small details on other products.

The shirt is preshrunk and feels really soft! Heather offers her adult shirts in sizes Small all the way up to 3X so no loved ones will be left out! So awesome as I usually only see custom shirts in XLarge as the largest size offered. In our family we have some larger members an XLarge is even kind of snug on me depending on the brand of shirt the designer uses. 

The design/image is centered very nicely on this shirt. I am quite the nit picker and I examined it very closely, short of measuring to make sure it was straight. After several washes so far the design is still perfect and looks exactly the same as it did the day it arrived. I absolutely love the dying of the fibers process instead of those iron-on and heat transfer images that major t-shirt manufacturers use on the majority of their shirts. Plus, for Heather's great price of $20 and the fact that your design will be "fresh" on your shirt for a LOT LONGER then those other shirts you buy in the stores for $30+, you are getting one heck of a deal. 

My mom absolutely loves her shirt and would love to wear it as often as possible and I think if I give her the okay, she would make it a work shirt. She's a sub-contracter and the current time is re-glazing bathrooms, she always has resin and all sorts of paints and chemical type products on her clothing and skin. If she were to keep all of that off of the design, there is no doubt that this design would be able to hold up to her wearing it more often to work. 

One of the reason my mom is an awesome mom is because I was a teen mom and became pregnant at 15 years old (that was 8 years ago already) and she stood by my side and me the great mother that I am today. She showed me the ropes and is always here to help guide me through new obstacles. She also spoils the heck out of my kids, which they love and so do I. This shirt was just a small token of our appreciation.

Bibetts Custom Ring Sling US 11/20

I have never been a baby carrying momma. I tried a few slings and wraps and carriers and none of them seemed to fit me. I am not a little girl and a lot of carriers are made for a one size fits all and I am in no way a one size momma (lol!).

I wish I had found this company 2 years ago because after a little practice and some struggles we have found a ring sling that works for me and little man. Recently I contacted Bibetts Custom Baby Carriers on Etsy and told her what I was looking for and needed and her reply was I have the perfect sling for you and man was she right. I love these slings they are custom and you can adjust them to fit your body and your baby! I LOVE THEM!

We had to run out the other day to grab a few things for my daughter's upcoming violin recital and I hate to shop with both kids and no help. I decided to take along my new ring sling. It took a little practice to get it right but once we did it was such a blessing. I had two free hands and a snug as a bug little man. No chasing him around saying come here and dragging him out from under the racks. This sling is a blessing and I love it! Now I totally get why all these mommas are wearing those babies! DUH!
