Greenchild Creations OS Fitted DIaper Review & Giveaway US 11/18

Greenchild Creations is owned and operated by Anne, a mom to a young boy and his rottweiler. Anne has been passionate about natural products and nature since grade school. She has been making natural cold process soaps, natural lotions and crafty items for several years. She has been running her Etsy shop since 2009 with the urging of her family and friends to do so. Anne's mom, Mary is also a part of her shop. Mary makes the hedgehog pincushions and the crocheted snowflakes. You can read more about Anne and her shop background here.

Closure Free, Fitted Cloth Diaper

This unique OS closure free flannel fitted cloth diaper  ($12ARV) was designed to fulfill the needs of Anne's super heavy wetting son who was also a bit bigger then most babies his age, leaving other OS cloth diapers too small on him. Anne drew her own pattern for this diaper and modified it many different times because receiving the results in which create this wonderful diaper. This OS fitted diaper is made of flannel as it is sturdy and long lasting, it also has elastic in the waist and legs/rise. You set the rise to your desired length by folding down the front of the diaper to where you need it to fit perfectly on your child. This is truly the Holy Grail of OS fitted diapers!

It also has a pocket that you can stuff with your favorite inserts, as long as it is not microfiber as microfiber can not go against baby's skin. Or you can stuff with your favorite prefold, in which I did and I trifolded my prefold before stuffing it in the pocket.

I love how large the pocket is, so if you needed even more absorbency for your child, you could definitely fit it in this pocket! I could definitely stuff it enough to get my heavy wetter toddler through the night!

While flannel naturally fades and pills, it always remains soft and absorbent. Anne uses cotten flannel, cotton twill and/or bamboo to make her fitted diapers, in each diaper she uses three layers of fabric with the third layer creating the inner pocket.

Ezio is 23 months old and weighs about 26+ pounds. He has a skinny waist, but a chubby belly and thunder thighs so a great fit with most snap or aplix diapers can be difficult. With this diaper it was very easy to find the perfect fit for him. All I had to do was lay the diaper under him as I normally would, then pull front panel up and fold it inward where I felt necessary. Then I brought the wings around his waist, held one while pinning it and repeated with the other wing. It was really simple and not nearly as hard as I feared with a squirmy toddler. Usually one prefold, such as the one I stuffed this diaper with, only gets us through about one to one and a half hours with Ezio, however with the extra layers of flannel we were able to use this diaper successfully through a 4 hour nap! As it is a fitted diaper you do need to use a cover over it to make it waterproof. However, personally, I only use a cover over a fitted diaper if it is bedtime, sometimes at nap time or definitely if we are leaving the house.

I really like this diaper and I especially like this diaper because of the customization of the fit! Which really is key as all babies and toddlers are shaped differently, whether it's a slight difference or a huge difference it is there.

If all of the above were not enough, this diaper washes and dries quickly and easily! As there are only 3 layers, two of which create the pocket, for the water to have to wash urine and BM out of, there is probably a much LOWER chance for ammonia or even detergent build up in this diaper. I have not experienced either, however I have a great wash routine that has worked for us since shortly after we started!

Sew Cute Sew Fine - Review & $20 GC Giveaway US 10/5

Sew Cute Sew Fine

Sew Cute Sew Fine offers a line of various handmade items from sheets for your little one to ruffled fashionable scarves for you as well as breastfeeding items and even pouches! Something for mom and baby.

Pack n Play Sheet

100% Cotton pack n play sheet ($12.50ARV), this is a fitted sheet that is made to fit a standard sized pack n play that measures 26" x 36.5". An adorable green with monkeys print 100% cotton. Flannel sheets are also available in various prints for baby boys and girls.

This sheet has elastic sewn at each end to make it fitted and then surged all the way around to make a nice finished edge. This sheet tucks around all four sides and corners nicely, not too tight, but also not too loose. You will have a nice and secure fit. Ezio tosses and turns like crazy in his sleep and has yet to move enough to get this sheet off.

This sheet matches nicely with his blanket, he loves soft blankets and this definitely a favorite of his. I am unable to get a photo of him sleeping in the pack n play with his matching monkey sheet and blanket, because he is such a light sleeper. Even just opening the bedroom door wakes him sometimes.

These sheets are available in multiple adorable prints for baby boys and girls and they make awesome baby shower gifts!

I love how it is the perfect fit! No excess fabric to get bunched up while baby is sleeping means no worries. The secure fit is definitely a plus. Even with the sheet tucking under the pack n play pad it does not cause the pad to be raised as there is really little excess fabric under the pad as well. The pad is also still able to velcro to the bottom of the pack n play allowing for the pad to still be securely in place.

Crib Sheet, Bib & Pouch
The 100% Cotton crib sheet fits just as nicely and securely as the pack n play sheet. Again with little excess fabric so it doesn't bunch up while baby is moving in his or her sleep. I love the fun vehicle print this 100% cotton fabric is as well.

The grey zippered pouch ($10ARV) is about 13 by 8 inches and would make a great make-up bag, crayon pouch, purse organizer pouch and so much more! It really is an all around multi-use pouch. Jedilynn is currently using this pouch for her lip glosses and some other small miscellaneous things. She loves it!

Waterproof Bib
Blue Stars Waterproof Bib ($4.25ARV) is made with 100% cotton flannel as the front with the print and is backed with white PUL, the PUL is what makes it waterproof. Between these two layers there is a middle layer of terrycloth as the absorbent layer. With a nice finished surge all the way around for a secure hold of all three layers of fabric. The bib has a snap to help hold it closed, there are two snaps to make it a little more adjustable and more snaps can be added for a very small fee!

Ezio loves to wear bibs! Weird kid I tell ya! As a baby we tried putting bibs on him and he always ripped them off or threw a fit immediately, now he goes in his drawer and brings them to me or Jedilynn for one of us to put it on him. This bib from Sew Cute Sew Fine is truly awesome, it is our only waterproof bib and I'm so glad he brought it to me to put on him while he was wearing his Batman shirt because he decided to spit or at least allow red juice to dribble down his chin. I was quite worried that the red would have wicked around to the other side of the bib and stained his shirt anyhow, however, I was wrong!

His beautiful disaster... that didn't quite work like he probably had planned because little did he know, this is a waterproof bib. Nothing like the other cheap-o bibs we have the cause his shirt to become soaked anyways. I was definitely impressed and daddy was happy that the Batman shirt was not ruined with red juice.

A tiny little bit got on the back side, but I'm almost certain that was from Ezio's hand when he grabbed his bib and decided he wanted it off after playing with his juice. Anytime he eats a popsicle or anything that could possibly ruin whatever shirt he has one I use this bib! This is definitely our on the go bib as you can't just whip your tots t-shirt off in a restaurant if he is going to have a messy meal. Even though Ezio is 21 months old, this is still a very nice bib on him, some of the cheap-o bibs we have are barely two inches below the collar of his t-shirts... not very good protection, plus they are not waterproof like this bad boy!

These bibs are also available in many other absolutely adorable prints for both baby boys and girls! These would also make amazing baby shower gifts! I know I would have loved to received some waterproof, but not plasticy bibs for either of my baby showers.
