Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent Review & Giveaway

About Rockin' Green

Rockin’ Green is an award-winning manufacturer of eco-friendly cleaning products designed to make cleaning easier and greener. Most well-known for their clean-rinsing laundry detergent formulated for use on all fabrics and especially useful on cloth diapers, Rockin’ Green produces detergents for hard, soft and normal water conditions (known as Hard, Soft and Classic Rock varieties).
Rockin’ Green also carries Funk Rock, a first-of-its kind natural ammonia bouncer, and Melody, an odor-neutralizer and air freshener home spray. With the exception of Funk Rock, all products come in seven natural scents, such as Mighty Mighty Marshmallow, Earth Wind & Orchids, Rage Against the Raspberry, and Bare Naked Babies (unscented).
Rockin’ Green was founded in 2009 by Kim Webb, an avid cloth diapering mom who desired a better way to clean cloth diapers and treat her kid’s sensitive skin. More information can be found at www.RockinGreenSoap.com.

My Review

I received three sample packets of Rockin' Green Hard Rock, Bare Naked Baby. I have hard water which is why I needed Hard Rock and this detergent I am using on my two boy's cloth diapers and my older son has horribly sensitive skin and eczema which is why I chose to go with the Bare Naked Baby, unscented detergent.

This is not what the winner will receive, the giveaway is for a full bag of winner's choice (scent/formula).
I followed the directions on the back for WASH which are:
  1. Savor the smell of your Rockin' Green detergent. Ah.... yummy...     (This made me laugh, which then made my husband question what was so funny about laundry detergent.)
  2. Dump your diapers/clothes into the washer and do a cold rinse/wash to get the nasties out prior to the wash cycle. The more water, the better!
  3. Add the detergent, and do a hot wash. Use 2-3 Tbsp* per load. *For those wqith soft water or HE machines use 1-2 Tbsp.
  4. Double rinse.
These directions were of great help to me as I am fairly new to cloth diapering (Started 02/2012). Before receiving these samples and awesome directions I was just tossing in the diapers, doing a hot wash w/detergent right away and then doing a double rinse. Boy was I happy when I did the cold wash w/o detergent first!  As I let my washer fill and continued to toss the diapers in I watched the water turn to a dirty greyish color. Gross!
After the cold wash I continued on as directed and then dried on LOW HEAT! The diapers come out smelling clean, no soap build up/residue is felt in the inserts and there is no more ammonia smell!
My son w/sensitive skin did excellent in his diapers that were washed in the Rockin' Green detergent! I was so happy as we had stopped using cloth on him for about a month due to the other cloth diaper safe detergent causing a huge, bad, painful diaper rash.
CJ's stuffed pockets on the left, don't mind the pink diaper, he doesn't mind wearing it for bedtime. ;) And EJ's stuffed pockets and prefolds and covers on the right.
I am so very thankful of Rockin' Green Laundry Detergent!!!

One winner will receive a bag of Rockin Green Laundry Detergent in their choice of scent and formula.
DISCLAIMER: I WAS SENT THESE ITEMS TO TRY OUT AND THE REVIEW IS SOLELY BASED ON MY PERSONAL OPINION. I WAS NOT COMPENSATED IN ANY OTHER WAY! THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.

  10. It's a great review especially broken down into paragraphs and bullet points. It's really small font.... Difficult to read.

    1. The laundry detergent can be used on clothing as well or if you are my winner you can always set it off to the side while you build your diaper stash. ;)
