Construction/Materials
I love that Lil Bums diapers are made of minky, because they are SO SOFT!! Even after being washed several times they are still just as soft as when we received them. Aside from the softness of this minky material that Lil Bums are made of, it is also stain resistant. This helps to keep your diapers looking good as new for years to come. The inside lining of these diapers is a stay-dry suede lining which wicks moisture away from your baby's skin, allowing them to feel dry and also helps to prevent rashes.
Absorbency
All Lil Bums include 2 inserts. One inserts is made of microfiber and the other insert is an organically grown bamboo cotton insert. The combination of these two inserts makes for an amazing over night pocket diaper. I'm telling you, the absorbency of these inserts is amazing! Ezio sleeps about 10 hours at night and we have never woken with any leaks while using Lil Bums. Ezio is not a super heavy wetter, but he will be 3 years old in December so he wets a bit more then younger babies.
I know some minky diapers wick/leak pretty badly around the legs and belly because of the minky outside, but these have not leaked on us at all! There is so much absorbency with both inserts, as long as they are stuffed in the pocket and lay flat you shouldn't have any leaks. You also have to establish the best fit for your babe to avoid leaks with any diaper.
Fit
Quality/Durability
I have had no issues with the construction of these diapers or inserts. The diaper shells themselves have gone through at least 20 washes at this point and the inserts have gone through at least double that (if we factor in prepping)! The PUL is still in the same great shape it was when we received these diapers and I have noticed no wear or tear to the PUL or elastics. There is no doubt in my mind that when properly washed and cared for these diapers could be used through several children. We don't have a huge rotation, but Ezio doesn't go through many diapers in a day. I wash diapers about every 3 or so days. I have had other "cheapie" diapers that became delaminated after sitting, waiting to be washed just for those 3 days (due to the ammonia in his urine), however, these have been unaffected.
As for durability, I give them a FIVE Star rating! Ezio is a butt scooter still, especially when we're outside. He scoots his bum across the wooden porch, down the rough concrete steps, etc and I have not noticed a single snag, tear, etc in either of our three diapers. Personally, in my mind, if the diaper or whatever the products is really, passes the "Ezio" test and he didn't break or damage it withing just a few minutes to days then the product is definitely worth sharing with all of you/my readers! These definitely pass!

Fit
Lil Bums are a One Size diaper, meaning they fit newborn to toddler. Many diapers claim to be OS, but I can attest for Lil Bums that they are truly OS! Ezio is almost 3 years old and weighs approx. 32lbs. These diapers have two rows of rise snaps, we are currently on the larger row, but we still need the rise snapped down. The wings come nearly to the center of the belly panel. This all means that he still has a TON of growing room! But don't let this discourage you is you have a newborn or infant. Ezio is rather tall and thin, most infants are fairly chubby so the diapers will fit them differently, just keep in mind that even if your babe is so chubby their OS diapers seem too small, they will slim out and fit back into them in no time! The wings do have cross over tabs so that these diapers can fit skinny mini babies as well as chunkier babies.
