Poli Sippy Cup ($14.95ARV) Giveaway! 2 Winners! US 5/20

Disclosure: Mami's 3 Little Monkeys nor any other participating blogs are responsible for the fulfillment of the prize.

Poli Sippy Cup Giveaway!

Poli Sippy Cup was created by a mom just like you and I. She was frustrated with traditional and straw sippy cups like many of us are. Many traditional spill-resistant sippy cup feature small passageways which make it difficult to clean them in order to prevent bacteria and/or mold growth. As well as losing the small valves which without them the cup is no longer spill resistant. So with the Poli Sippy Cup these issues are solved with it's unique patented "easy to clean and no parts to lose" design. The small parts come apart for easy cleaning and can go right in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. Small parts are tethered to the inside of the lid and will not get lost.

Eluandas' Elu Clips (Kids Elastic Snap Belts) Review & Giveaway! US 3/15

Disclosure: I received the below products in exchange for my honest review. All opinions and experiences are my own and may differ from those of your own.

About Eluandas
Eluandas' is a WAHM owned shop, run by Eva who has been sewing for many years. Eva has even sewn prom and wedding dresses! Eva's children are all skinny and tall making it hard to find pants that fit and stay at their waists. She has experienced the difficulty of finding the adjustable elastic waist bands in pants for older children, so she created her Elu Clips.
Eluandas' came to life when a friend of Eva's started a photography business. Eva asked her friend if she would like for her to embroider her a business shirt, Eva made her ten shirts and that was her first customer. Before this she always sewed for her children and herself. Her friend insisted that she open her shop to share her talent with all of us.

Kids Elastic Snap Belts - Elu Clips

Elu Clip ($9.95ARV) is a multi size adjustable 1-inch baby, toddler or kids belt that securely clips to the front loops of your child's pants. Elu Clips have plastic snaps and easily adjusts for multiple sizes on each belt. They are a colorful and bright new elastic belt idea for children.

Elu Clips come in five different sizes, including extra small for newborn through size 4. I know I could have definitely used an Elu Clip for my kiddos pants, especially once we started to cloth diaper and they needed a larger size pants to fit over the bulk, but then the waist was too large, Elu Clips would have made a world of a difference.

When purchasing your Elu Clips, you'll have a choice between 17 different snaps, 12 of which are round and 5 are heart shaped, or you can even choose multiple colors. As for the belts, you can choose from over 20 adorable prints or solid colors. You can view Eluandas Belt Selection here. You can also view more photos in Eva's photo gallery here

Prince Lionheart bebePod Seat Giveaway US 11/26

  princelionheartbutton

Giveaway Hosted by: Tales From A Southern Mom and Mommy by Nurture Sponsored by: Prince Lionheart

This is a great chair for your baby and will work for you all the way until they are toddlers as a booster seat! The seat has wide leg holes for the chubby thighs most babies have and is designed to hold that diapered bottom upright, so they have the perfect view. One thing babies just learning to sit want, is to see everything that is going on. This allows them to do that.

210-1024x768

The bebePOD Flex Plus fosters development of arm and hand control and encourages visual gaze to the table surface and attention to play. I highly recommend this seat to anyone with a baby, I believe you will find it to be far superior to the other seats out there. Approved for mom’s and dads of little ones 3 months and up on the Holiday Gift Guide! You can win your very own right here! Enter below, Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

Guest Post: Safety in the Toy Box

When you look at your child's bedroom or toy room, what do you see? Do you see endless hours spent playing creatively, or do you see a pile of choking hazards? Believe it or not, the toy box contains several dangers, if you aren't careful. To make sure play time never turns into tragedy, keep these safety tips in mind.

Safety Before You Open the Box

Toy safety starts when you're shopping. Make sure you look at the recommended ages on the toy. Sometimes these are developmental recommendations, but often, particularly if the age excludes the under-three crowd, they also represent a safety concern. If it says "Ages 3 and up," chances are it presents a choking hazard to little ones.
Inspect toys carefully, particularly if you are shopping at "discount" stores with manufacturers you don't know and trust. Look for toys with securely attached parts that look to be sturdy and have no sharp edges. Even brands you know and trust can have poorly made products that slip through, so give everything a careful check.
Lead paint is a very real danger, especially with toys made outside of the country where this is not regulated. Shop with reputable retailers and brands you trust, and purchase new toys instead of used ones, to avoid this problem.
If you're shopping for a toddler or baby, you'll need to consider a few additional safety issues. First, make sure the toys don't have any long strings that could wrap around the child's neck. Pull strings and other cords or straps should not be any longer than 12 inches. Also, avoid toys that have sharp points and rough edges for this age group, and watch for eyes and noses on plush toys that could be chewed off.

Know Common Choking Hazards

Everyone knows to cut up their children's hot dogs, or if they don't the little wiener dog hot dog cutters in the store will tell them, but believe it or not hot dogs are the least of your worries when it comes to choking hazards. Your toy box is also a dangerous culprit, especially if you have young babies and older children in the same home.
Some choking hazards are obvious, but others are less so. As you go through the toy room to eliminate hazards, know what you're looking for. The American Academy of Pediatricians indicates that anything that a child can fit in his mouth is a hazard, and common household items include:
  • Marbles and balls
  • Buttons
  • Coins
  • Lids to pens or markers
  • Batteries
  • Magnets
  • Balloons (which are small when deflated)
  • Small toy parts
  • Legos
Some of these items you may not realize are choking hazards at first. Batteries, for example, are well hidden inside toys. Yet, small button batteries can cause fatal injuries if swallowed, and kids are experts at getting toys open to access hidden compartments. Make sure all toys are properly protected, and get rid of broken toys quickly. Also, if you have a small toy you are unsure about, see if it will fit through a toilet paper roll tube. If it can, it's a choking hazard.

Store Toys Safely

Another way that toys can be dangerous is if they are not stored properly. Most parents struggle with the fact that their children own an overwhelming amount of toys. When you start looking for places to store them, the logical answer may seem to be shelves stacked to the ceiling. Yet this creates a hazard, because small children can try to climb these shelves, which can then topple on them, leading to severe injury or even death.
Instead, choose sturdy, low shelves that children can reach without climbing. Assume that kids will try to climb even if the shelves are low, so opt for shelves that are heavy enough not to topple or light enough not to injure a child if they do. Add even more safety by attaching them to the wall using wall brackets.
If you're going to store toys in bins, make sure they have non-locking lids and vent holes. You'll never know when your child is going to decide to hide in that bin, and you don't want a toddler or preschooler to get stuck inside and suffocate.
If you have a mix of ages in your home, chances are your older kids will have toys that aren't safe for their younger siblings. To avoid a problem, store these on a higher shelf, preferably in a closet or cabinet where they aren't enticing to the younger ones. Keep tabs on what your kids get out to play with, and ensure that they put every piece away when they are done. If you have the space, have a dedicated play area for these small toys, such as Legos, that is closed off for the younger children. Your older children should be mature enough to understand the dangers these small toys pose, so enlist their help in keeping things picked up.
Remember, toys should be fun, not dangerous. If you follow these tips and supervise your children's play well, you can ensure that they are able to enjoy playing without worry for many years to come.

BubbleBum Inflatable Booster Seat Review & Giveaway US 9/10

The BubbleBum was created by Grainne Kelly who is a Safekids USA Certified CPST from Northern Ireland. She worked closely with her own two children as well as those from local schools to develop a booster seat that was more 'big kid' then a "baby seat" as well as a booster that was not quite so conventional and rigid of a design. The children helped with naming the BubbleBum as well as choosing the funky colors and design. The children's reasons for liking the Bubblebum compared to existing rigid boosters are simply because they found it easier to carry as it is lightweight and compact, they were not embarrassed to bring it to school in their back packs because it was cool, it was more comfortable then the conventional rigid options on the market and they also liked that fact that it was for "big kids".

BubbleBum

The BubbleBum ($39.99ARV) is a great booster seat for busy families. It weighs less then half a pound! You can easily deflate and fold it up to conveniently take it on the go, put it in a backpack or other bags and tote bags if you drop your child off at school and someone else picks them. The BubbleBum takes less then 20 seconds to inflate by mouth, may take a child a little longer to inflate this booster seat though they can most definitely still do so. When it is deflated it folds flat for convenience and it comes with a stretchy bag for easy carrying. The BubbleBum is much more comfortable then conventional booster seats made of hard plastics and comes in two great colors of black and purple.

I was a little worried that Jedilynn would think this was a silly thing. However she loved it and even though we were in for the night she wanted to try it out immediately! She instead sat on it around the house until great grandma came to pick her up the next and then she was so excited to use it. I only had to show her how to put the seat belt in the belt positioners once and she has had it down pat ever since. This is a great booster seat for her to take with her all through out the summer as she is off with family members enjoying her summer and in many different vehicles. A few family members are quite protective of their vehicles and with the hard plastic boosters Jedilynn was not allowed to take her old booster seats in and out of these vehicles in case she banged it against the side, to prevent accidental scratches and dings. Jedilynn is very independent so being able to take her booster seat from one vehicle to the next is definitely a plus for her.

Jedilynn is 7 years old, about 80 pounds and just under 5ft tall. The top of her head comes up to my shoulder and I am 5'6/7". The BubbleBum allows the lap and shoulder belts to lay across her body at the appropriate levels/angles, such as the lap belt laying across her lap instead of being against her stomach and the shoulder belt going across her shoulder instead of against her head. As she has been gone nearly all summer long I have yet to get a picture of her in a vehicle using her BubbleBum, but I will definitely be sure to get a picture to upload hopefully soon! She starts school in exactly one week (Sept. 3rd) so it shouldn't be too much longer before I see her for more then maybe an hour.

The BubbleBum is for children from the age of 4 to 11, weighing from 40 to 100 pounds and with a height up to 57" (4.75ft). So what is the BubbleBum made of that it is safe to use an inflatable booster seat? The BubbleBum is made with a durable material that is similar to what they use to make life vests and other life saving products it has an inside air chamber cushion of memory foam that adds stability and comfort as well as a cover around the air cushion webbing with belt positioning clips and energy absorbing materials.

Booster Seats should only be used with a 3 point seat belt, this is a seat belt with a shoulder belt as well as the lap belt.It is proven that children in booster seats have approximately half the risk of injury as children without a booster seat and in a seat belt alone. Abdominal injuries are the second most common injury with head injuries being the most common, abdominal injuries for belted children are as a result of "seat-belt syndrome" injuries.

eBeanstalk.com Toddler & Children's Learning Toys & Arts & Crafts Galore!

ebeanstalk.com

Have you heard of eBeanstalk.com yet?
eBeanstalk provides a large variety of learning toys to help promote your child's development. They carry toys for newborns, babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and school-aged children. Ever try shopping for a friend's child or family member and spend quite sometime in the isles of your local store with no clue what to buy the child? Unsure if the toy or other item is age appropriate for that child? With eBeanstalk, the website is very easy to navigate and you can search for toys for any age just by simply clicking on your child's age or the age of the child you are shopping for. You can also create wishlists on eBeanstalk.

eBeanstalk.com even has a Grown & Learn Series in this series you can get a year's worth of development toys and such in one box to match each stage of your child's development for the whole year. Eliminating multiple trips to the store every few months to purchase additional toys that are developmentally appropriate for your child. Also, no worries if your interested in getting one of these boxes and it's not your child's birthday as you can choose 1y, 1 1/4yr, 1/2yr or 1 3/4yr, etc!

When searching for toys for a specific gender and/or age group eBeanstalks has an age appropriate recommendation as well as a more specific 'target age' to help your narrow down which toys in that category would be best for a child as they grow beyond that age mark, but have not quite reached the next age mark. Since Ezio is 19 months old, I for toys for 1 year old boys and under all of the toys and books there is a target age so I can look for something that is more so recommended for a 1 1/2 year old (18 months old) instead of everything recommended for babies between the ages of one and two. Make sense...? You can also then select a category after you've chosen your age and gender your searching for.

Ezio and Cade both love musical toys! I found a ton in both of their age ranges, 1 years old and 3 years old that I know they both would love. Not all of the toys in the musical toys category make noise, they have puzzles of musical instruments, super cute and cool Star Performance Door Hanging for your little star to dancing and sing in front and put on the best show for the whole family!

You can also search by category, such as Arts & Crafts, Alphabet Toys, Outdoor Toys, etc. Jedilynn, my 7 1/2 year old daughter is very crafty. So, to look for crafts she may like I hovered over the Categories tab at the top of the page, clicked on Arts & Crafts or Arts & Crafts Sets. Then I able to select from some Sub-Categories to help narrow down my search. I chose Make Your Own as my Sub-Category as she loves to create her own things. Searching like this lists all of the Make Your Own Craft Kits in order from youngest age to oldest age. I love that everything for the different age ranges is not all mixed together! Makes searching through so much easier! They have Arts & Crafts for children as young as 2 years old! How cool is that? I know Cade would love the Mosaic Kits which are recommended for 3 years old, which he is. I found several things that are age appropriate and also that I know Jedilynn would love, such as their Cool Duck Tape Fashion.  They also have a very awesome Slackers Zipline Eagle Set 70ft that would just be beyond awesome!!

This is not a product review, but a review of the website it's self. If you have any questions please contact Sarh at mamis3littlemonkeys(AT)yahoo(DOT)com.

My Little Legs Review & $25 GC Giveaway! US 3/1

How My Little Legs Began!
My Little Legs was created by Danielle and Julia in a spare bedroom, they quickly upgraded to a "Florida Room", which is like a sunroom. They soon had to expand to the garage. Their garage stay lasted 6 months until they were large enough to get their own office space! They still operate by starting small and growing with the business. They do everything they can do to save money so then they can pass those savings on to their customers! How awesome!? They work extra hard to help YOU, the customer, save MORE!

My Little Legs Products, MORE then just leg warmers!
I know of My Little Legs as... of course a leg warmer company, but they have expanded into other product lines including hair bows, hats, bibs and blankets! Even more things to come. They love introducing funky, vibrant colors into their collection and soft, classic baby looks too. Both Danielle and Julia have a child each, so they know the importance of finding the best quality materials for their customers. They strive to make the highest quality items and bring them to other parents at affordable prices.

Our My Little Legs Products.
We received a crocheted Sock Monkey Hat, 4 Heart hair bows, 2 St. Patty's Day corker bows and a pair of super cute St. Patty's Day Leg warmers.

Jedilynn was so excited when we opened our package from My Little Legs and tried both style bows on right away! I know I took a picture, but can't find it! How did I loose a digital photo? Your guess is as good as mine! But I will retake the photos and update this post with in the next week. Jedilynn wore 2 of the heart clips to school for her class Valentine's Day Party and wants to wear the St. Patty's Day corker bows either the Friday before or the Monday after St. Patty's Day since it falls on a Sunday this year. Who knows, she will probably wear them both days and all weekend. She loves hair bows!!

Cade (2 years old) absolutely LOVES hats! Any hat, even one of Ezio's hats which is too small for both of the boys. Cade has been wearing this Sock Monkey hat since we received it. Anytime we are getting ready to leave the house he tells us, "Put mine monkey hat on now!" I'm sure he will be wearing his hats through the summer as well. The only thing is that the hat is made of lighter weight yarn then your typical crocheted hat, but thankfully that just means he wont become so sweaty, come this summer. Cade also likes wearing the leg warmers as arm warmers, which is perfectly fine and a second use for them.

Ezio (14 months old) loves to crawl and now WALK around the house in just his diaper. He is your typical rough house boys who prefers NO clothing! Other then the diaper, which mami says is a MUST! He has slight eczema and his knees get pretty tore up crawling around. He is finally walking, but he still crawls quite a bit, especially if something is in his way and he still waddles like a penguin. Too cute! So the leg warmers are perfect for protecting his little knees and shins. The only issue is that he has HUGE THUNDER THIGHS so the leg warmers don't stay up on his thighs, they still serve their purpose and protect his knees. When they roll up with his thighs rolls or slide down to just above the knee, the leg warmers seem to bother me more then they bother him. The leg warmers are also nice right now with him loving to be in just a diaper as we are in Wisconsin and our winters are pretty cold so they help keep his legs warm. Double purpose with these awesome things!

I LOVE the color green so all of the St. Patty's Day products are my favorite. Everything we received from My Little Legs is well made. My children are NOT at ALL easy or gentle on their belongs, but My Little Legs products are holding up to the wrath of my three monkeys!

Danielle and Julia LOVE their customers! So Connect with them!
Check out all of their awesome and super cute products at MyLittleLegs.com, join their newsletter for updates and other fun things. They actively engage with their customers, ask your opinion on their products and interacting with the customers daily on Facebook, Pinterest & Twitter @MyLittleLegs. They believe their customers are part of their team and treat them like it!
