Meowbox Review & Discount Code

Disclosure: We received these products in exchange for my honest review, all opinions and experiences are our own and may differ from yours.

Meowbox
Meowbox is a cat subscription box company who's offices are in both Vancouver, BC as well as Blaine, WA. Meowboxes are cute, entertaining, unique and well-put together. It is a run by real people, who really do love cats and care about their human customers as well. They have a mission to get you as passionate as they are to try out new products and enrich the lives of your cats. Meowbox is their way of providing you with an exciting way to give your cats the exercise, stimulation and happiness they deserve.

January Meowbox

We received the January 2016 Happy New Year Meow Box ($32.95/month). Last months box was full of fun toys and even a tasty treat! The kitties received a Maui Meowi Manini cat nip toy, Wool Fun Feather Barrel, Pillow Puff Tabbie Catnip, Loofa Cat Kicker and some trufood CocoChia Bakes treats.

Momma kitty (above photos) loves all of the toys we get, especially the catnip toys. She she's hoarding two above.

Buddy really likes feathers and wool!  The little stinker has stolen many of my wool dryer balls, he doesn't care that the humans need them for their laundry.

They all seem to enjoy the CocoChia BAKES which is great, lots of great stuff in these treats making them not so bad for the BIG daddy, Sunshine.

All of the cats have greatly enjoyed their prizes from their BarkBox for Cats and it even got the big fat cat to get up and come check it out. I know cats sleep a lot, but I'm pretty all he does is sleep and eat unless we get new toys for them. In addition to the cat being satisfied with the Meowbox so was I.

January Kit Nip Box Review & Discount Code

Disclosure: We received the below products in exchange for our honest review, all opinions and experiences are our own and may differ from yours. This post may contain affiliate links meaning I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking my link.

Kit Nip Box
Kit Nip Box supports many animal welfare organizations nationwide, over 100 actually. Every month they donate a portion of their proceeds and products to shelters, rescues, TNR efforts as well as a variety of other feline welfare causes. Kit Nip Box creates a little theme for each month's box and you'll get a fun little "post card" like pictured below. On the back of the fun picture will be the names and a little blurb about the items you've received in your Kit Nip Box.

January Kit Nip Box

We received the January Kit Nip Box ($19.99/month) which had a theme of health. In this box the kitties received Multipet Catnip, Handmade Catnip Band-Aid Kicker by Eco-Pup, Multipet Pest Toy, Multipet Pom-Pom Boa Toy, Petlinks Teeter Teaser Toy and Pet Greens Freshwater Trout Treats. The human also received something, the Yoga Cat 2016 Calendar and 3 Free Meals from Hello Fresh! Awesome, I needed a 2016 calendar and new tasty free meals to try out with our big family is always helpful!

Belle and Buddy sniffing out their new toys. They could smell all of the cat nip through the box.

Both very blurred photos of Belle are of her playing with the Petlinks Teeter Teaser Toy. She absolutely loves it! It's full of catnip and tied to a finger loop so you can dangle and swing it around for your kitty.

Chippie Cookies aka Momma loves the Handmade Catnip Band-Aid Kicker by Eco-Pup! She loves to roll around on it and smack it across the hardwood floors. This is just a simple yet fun felt bandaid stuffed with stuffing and catnip for hours of fun. This is still the toy that she chooses to pull out of the toy bin quite often.

Just like human babies they left me with the mess to clean up. They are so silly, some of the cats brought over old toys and took off with new toys. Belle is a toy hoarder, she likes to take a toy and hide it and comes back for another and does the same thing until all of the toys are hidden in her secret toy hoarding area. So far she seems to be okay with the toys being in the toy bin.

Lastly, Ms. Frizzle (the chicken) finally came over to play once everyone else ran off with their toys of choice. She also loved the Petlinks Teeter Teaser Toy. I can actually get a pretty good picture of her playing usually as she's not quite as crazy as her litter mate sister Belle.

Petzi
Petzi was founded in 2013 with the mission of bringing pets and their owners closer together through today's most popular trends and technologies. Petzila is a leader in internet of thing (IoT) pet solutions with a broad array of patents pending, it has created a platform of technology solutions promoting interactivity, health maintenance, training, and overall well-being between pet parents and the animals they love.

Petzi Treat Cam ($169.99ARV) allows you to connect with your pet and give them treats no matter where you are! The Petzi is an app-controlled, wife-connected remote pet treat dispenser and camera. It allows you the check-in and interact with your pet from any smart phone or tablet. The Petzi has a wide-angle camera with night vision and high-quality audio. The universal treat launcher is good to use with any dry, crunchy treat that is smaller than 1 inch.

The Petzi comes with two small packs of dog treats which are mini Milk-Bones and a small pack of Irresistibles from Meow Mix for the kitties.

Worried about your pooch or sassy kitty knocking it over and causing the Petzi to break? This has a sleek, safe and durable design. It was designed for our furry friends after all. Not to mention that there are many mounting options making it simple to place it anywhere that suits your needs. Set up with the app is very easy. It has a dedicated iOS and Android app that controls the device and allows content to be shared socially.

With a single push of a button 1-3 dog or cat treats are playfully ejected into the viewing area. As you can see in the video below, the pup has no issue with finding where her treats have landed, bounced to and/or slid to across the hardwood floor.

We love the Petzi! Even the cats come running now for some treats. It is absolutely adorable to watch Sammie Jo (our Boxer pup) cock her head at the camera when you speak to her. Any pet owner should have a Petzi!

Honest Kitchen ProBloom Goat Milk Supplement w/Probiotics ($20ARV) US 8/10

Welcome to the Honest Kitchen ProBloom Giveaway!
ProBloom on right.
Disclosure: I have received these products in exchange for my honest review, no additional compensation was received for this giveaway. I hold no responsibility for the fulfillment of the prize.

ProBloom
Pro Bloom is a dry goat's milk supplement with probiotics. It is shelf-stable and instantly goat's milk with digestive enzymes & probiots. Pro Bloom is great for dogs and cats. Pro Bloom is The Honest Kitchen's very own formulation of natural goat's milk plus probiotics and digestive enzymes. It was designed to nourish and nurture cats and dogs alike. Ideally for growing puppies and kittens as well as general immune support for the gut.

Pro Bloom digestive enzymes for dogs and cats is a human-grade and made in the USA from pasture-raised, free-ranging goat's milk in the Pacific Northwest. It is free of pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones and antibiotics.  Can be served alone, over hard food or mixed with Grace Cat Food.

I gave our momma cat some Pro Bloom while she was nursing her newborn kittens and she loved it. Once the kittens were drinking water on their own then I introduced them to Pro Bloom. I did not want to over step momma cat's nursing abilities or deter them from nursing from mom. The kittens absolutely LOVE the Pro Bloom! I mix it with warm water and the warm goat's milk sits nicely in their little tummies. They used to sleep after drinking Pro Bloom, now that they are older that no longer fall asleep shortly after drinking it. Sort of like a human infant falling asleep with warm milk/formula/breastmilk in their little tummies.

Even at eight weeks old they still love their Pro Bloom. The bowl on the left is water and the bowl on the right is Pro Bloom Goat's Milk, all six started out drinking milk and a few followed it up with water. They all approve! Also, after the kittens leave the bowl of goat's milk, if I am not looking, I can catch the older cats taking a drink of Pro Bloom. They also like it, but they allow the kittens to drink first.

The Honest Kitchen: Grace Dehydrated Cat Food & Pro Bloom Dry Goat's Milk Supplement Review

The Honest Kitchen
Disclosure: I received these products in exchange for my honest review. All opinions and experiences are our own and may differ from those of your own.

The Honest Kitchen
The Honest Kitchen began back in 2002 when Lucy was making her first dog, Mosi fresh food. It was quite messy in her kitchen, but she didn't want that to stop her from making and feeding her dog the healthy food made of whole, colorful and healthy ingredients.  Dehydration was the answer to a cleaner kitchen. She started receiving samples from raw ingredients suppliers, which were blended in specific recipes to create Verve.

Soon Mosi's dog park friends wanted to try Verve and soon a local store wanted to sell it! After certifications from their ingredients suppliers they were manufacturing this gourmet pet food made with ingredients that people could eat! Their first batch was 2,000 pounds and was selling out quickly! Each batch to follow was getting a little bigger and bigger.
Check out more of the History of The Honest Kitchen.

Grace Cat Food & Pro Bloom

We received a 2 pound box of Grace Grain Free Cat Food - Turkey Recipe ($29.99ARV) and a can of Pro Bloom - Instant Goat's Milk Plus Probiotics 6oz. container ($19.99ARV).

Pro Bloom
Pro Bloom is a dry goat's milk supplement with probiotics. It is shelf-stable and instantly goat's milk with digestive enzymes & probiots. Pro Bloom is great for dogs and cats. Pro Bloom is The Honest Kitchen's very own formulation of natural goat's milk plus probiotics and digestive enzymes. It was designed to nourish and nurture cats and dogs alike. I did not want to over step momma cat's nursing abilities or deter them from nursing from mom. The kittens absolutely LOVE the Pro Bloom! They used to sleep after drinking Pro Bloom, now that they are older that no longer fall asleep shortly after drinking it. Sort of like a human infant falling asleep with warm milk/formula/breastmilk in their little tummies.

First there were two curious kittens. Then there were five curious kittens...

And finally all 6 curious kittens filling their bellies with nutritious Pro Bloom!

I love how all six, four week old kittens were able to stand around a normal cereal bowl and drink their Pro Bloom from The Honest Kitchen!

Grace Cat Food
Grace Cat Food is dehydrated cat food which is made with cage-free turkey and eggs along with parsley, a little pumpkin and dandelion greens. 70% of the mixture is meat. The Grace grain-free, gluten-free dehydrated cat food is ideal for cats of all ages, but especially for those who need a gluten free diet. Grace dehydrated cat food can be used in place of homemade or canned cat food dishes.

Miss Copy Cat (she is a darker version of one of her sisters) was the first of the kittens to come sniff out the Grace Cat Food. She eating it right away. Soon after I gathered up the other three kittens...

As you can tell, we have two "trouble makers" who aren't too keen on sharing food other than their dry kitten food, so they have their own bowls. They all love the Grace Cat Food! It's super easy to mix up a batch for these four kittens and even when we still had all six from the litter. Since they are no more than probably 3 pounds each, I mixed up a cup of food for the four kittens. Per the box for a 1-5 pound kitten they should get 1/3 to 1/2 a cup of Grace Cat Food. The small white bowls that the two trouble makers are eating from are actually my measuring cups which are 1 cup filled to the rim. I mixed the food in a cool whip container and then poured it into separate bowls for the kittens. They did not fully finish the bowls, although sometimes they do. They also have dry kitten food available for them at all times.

Miss Paws (she's very pawsy, smacks stuff and people a lot) of course dumped her bowl of food. The measuring cups the two trouble makers were eating from have little grippers on the bottom, but not the red bowl she had. She cleaned it up though, she didn't want her tasty new food to go to waste.

Unfortunately, the larger cats (Sunshine-daddy, pictured above)don't seem to want the Grace Cat Food. I wouldn't say they don't like it as they really haven't tried it! However, they are very polite as they allow the kittens to eat before they eat, which is absolutely amazing to me! Plus, momma cat likes to try and steal our food while she's pregnant and nursing so she often gets scolded when going for food in the kitchen. So I suppose for her, she's unsure if it's okay. I keep trying as I know this would be great for her. Maybe eventually she'll take to it. There will be no more babies, so I'm sure she'll take to this once she's no longer nursing any kittens, but it'll still be just as good for her.

Both products are a hit here! I definitely approve of these products for my kitties. Oh and I'm not a fan of the smell of most commercial pet foods, especially not moist/wet foods. They kind of make my stomach churn a bit, but not The Honest Kitchen's products! So that was another plus for me.

PetGiftBox April Cat Box Review & Discount Code!

Disclosure: I received the below products in exchange for my honest review! All opinions and experiences are m own and may differ from those of your own.

PetGiftBox.com Cat Subscription Box!
PetGiftBox is a monthly subscription based program for your furry friends. With boxes for cats or dogs, both subscriptions help you spoil your pet with delicious treats and fun toys. There may even be something inside for their human friend.

April PetGiftBox
The April PetGiftBox ($17.99ARV/month) was our first and Buddy (9 month old kitten) was the first to catch a wiff of the mysteries inside. As soon as it entered the house he attacked me in a friendly, "Mom can I have it please!" sort of manor. Now, we had just gotten home with lunch. The PetGiftBox was on the front porch waiting for us and without thinking, I brought it in the house. Needless to say, I wasn't able to finish my lunch, Buddy made sure of that!

He sniffed the box, rubbed on the box and scratched at it.Oh and rolled around, see the short video below.

The package is addressed and shipped to your furry friend(s) and the inside label is addressed to them as well! April 22nd was Earth Day, so for the April PetGiftBox they took an Earth friendly approach for the packaging and products.

TOYS!!
My furry babies received some awesome toys and tasty snacks!

I barely got the box open and Buddy snatched the Wooly Fun Feather Ball ($7.97ARV) right out of the box! It was still attached to the cardboard backing, but he didn't seem to mind. The Wooly Fun Feather Ball is handmade in Nepal by artisans. It is made chemical-free through the whole process and is filled with organic catnip.

The other toy we received that they also love is Shelby the Hemp Mouse ($6.99ARV), the little orange toy by Buddy's tail in the above photo! The cat nip was definitely strong and apparently much more appealing to not only Buddy, but also Sunshine (1.5 year old) who was soon fighting with Buddy for the mouse toy. After the boys had their fun with the toy then Chippie Cookie (momma kitty), who was still pregnant at the time had her fun with it and was not going to give it back, she was even growling (yes, cats do growl). Shelby the Hemp Mouse is made of hemp fabric and is filled with organic catnip. All three of the cats play with this one as well. Every time I see either of these toys they are either being thrown in the air by one of the cats or in a different part of the house. They approve of both toys!

Treats!

Pet Greens Deep Sea Tune Semi Moist Cat Treats ($4.89ARV) are tasty bite sized treats that contain real fish as it's first ingredient and is free of artificial flavors, colors, wheat gluten and soy. All three cats love their new Green treats! Perfect little bite sized morsels!

We also received Pet Greens Self Grow Garden ($4.49ARV), which is a pouch that grows organic greens in it's self! It is 100% certified organic wheat grass seed and soil mixture in a ready-to-grow bag. The seeds begin to grow within seven to ten days and is a delicious snack to satisfy your pets greens craving. Even reptiles can enjoy the Pet Greens Self Grow Garden! I can't seem to find my photos of this, but once I find the images, I will be sure to update this post.

Cleaning Supply

Lastly our box also contained Absolutely Clean Pet Stain & Odor Remover & More! ($3.99ARV). this removes pet stains and odors safely and effectively without any chemicals or toxins. It is made in the USA and made with all natural, plant-based ingredients. Absolutely Clean is safe for use on Carpet & Upholstery for cleaning up pet and pet food stains as well as urine odors. It's rather simple to use and can be used several different ways, directions are on the back and give eight different ways to clean up different stains and odors. We all love our pets, but sometimes they can leave us with dirty or stinky messes that aren't easily cleaned up with your average household cleaners.

Earth Day Tips from PetGiftbox
On the informational card that they include in their boxes about the products in which you receive they listed some simple ways to celebrate Earth Day! Here are a few, Recycle your pet food cans and buy the largest size for the best value and less waste. Even if your pet wont/can't eat the whole can at once, you can almost always refrigerate the extra and feed it to them at a later time or date. A great one, especially in my neighborhood with all of the dog owners is to use biodegradable poop bags and for us cat owners, use non-clay cat liter. If you're really committed, they even recommend you compost your pets waste! What are some other ways you practice being green when it comes to your pets?
