Gaia Kids Bronchial Wellness
Gaia Herbs has a line of herbal formulas just for kids called Gaia Kids. This line is formulated by pediatric naturopath, Dr. Mary Bowe. The Gaia Kids line consists of 10 alcohol-free herbal formulas that deliver herbal support with kid friendly tastes.

Gaia Kids Bronchial Wellness ($18.99/3 fl oz ARV) provides herbal support for the respiratory system and promotes healthy mucous membranes. It is recommended for ages 2 through 15, one of the very few yet safe medicines for children under the age of 6. It has a great taste of organic honey, lemon and flavorful essential oils. This Bronchial Wellness includes Plantain and Grindelia which are traditionally used in Europe for promoting respiratory health and naturally processed to ensure high concentration and absorption.

Black Elderberry Syrup ($19.99/3 fl oz ARV) is a great tasting all-natural syrup which is made from Certified Organic Black Elderberries and added Acacia honey. It can be taken by children daily or on occasion to support their immune systems. Honey offers tasty and soothing support for the upper respiratory system and the formula contains no artificial flavors or colors, no preservatives and no high fructose corn syrup. We did not receive the Black Elderberry Syrup, however I wanted to share about it because it sounds like a wonderful supplement. This would probably help my youngest out a ton!

My youngest, Ezio has asthma attacks every 3-4 weeks like clock work. Since we're not sure what his triggers are and one big one could be virus' aka the common cold. I chose to give him some of the Bronchial Wellness this time when his cough started. While it did help make breathing and talking easier, he wasn't coughing between every word, we did still end up needing to take him in.

Jada is now 10 years old and she had a bad cough and her voice was becoming hoarse. She loves to sing and even with the cough and hoarse voice she was still trying to sing. I finally talked her into taking some of the Bronchial Wellness and her cough didn't only stop, but she was no longer hoarse and after just two doses of this medicine she was done coughing and regained her normal voice. I'm not saying this will be every ones results, obviously as my youngest didn't have the same results. It'll still depend on the underlying issue, but it's a safe medicine to try.

I will keep the Bronchial Wellness from Gaia Kids stocked for sure. Jada often has a cough during the winter months and it doesn't help that our house is old and dry. This has also helped to allow her to sleep through the night and not be woken up repeatedly due to the coughing. Who knows, maybe next time it will help keep Ezio out of the ER, that would be wonderful.

Tree Hut {Sponsor Spotlight}

Tree Hut started out in Farmers Branc, Texas, where they made their first body butter with just one simple goal in mind, to create an amazing product that actually does as it says. They made sure each product was amazing by asking their customers what they thought about it before it was ever even sold. As it turned out, their customers know best, this has allowed them to make amazing products for over 10 years! Tree Hut sources ingredients from all over the world, from their Certified Organic Shea Butter to the coconut shells which are imported from the Polynesian Islands.

Almond & Honey Body & Bath Products

Almond & Honey Shea Body Butter
Tree Hut's Almond & Honey Shea Body Butter comes in a 7oz tub at an average retail value of $6.99/tub. This Shea Body Butter is made with Real Honey and sweet Almond oil, which helps to naturally condition unhealthy and neglected skin. It is an extra thick body butter and is made with certified organic Shea butter, Cocoa butter, real Honey, sweet Almond extracts and Safflower Seed oil, designed to seal in moisture to leave your skin soft and rejuvenated.

I love how soft this body butter leaves my skin, the Almond & Honey scent is also very pleasant. It's a 'unique' scent, I've found that most people I know don't really care for it other then my mom and myself. The body butter is thick and creamy, but the best part is that it is non-greasy! It helps your body bring back it's natural sheen, not a greasy sheen. I also use this on Ezio, but have not yet tried it on Cade has he has a tree nut allergy and this contains Shea and Almond.

Almond & Honey Extra Moisturizing Lotion
Almond & Honey Shea Extra-Rich Moisturizing Lotion comes in a 9oz tube and has an average retail value of $4.99/tube. It is made with natural Almond oil and real Honey, which clear your complexion that has lost its sheen. It is infused with certified organic Shea butter, real Honey and sweet Almond oil and designed to hydrate and condition your complexion with its light, non-greasy formula for a daily hydration that will keep your skin looking smooth and healthy.

This extra-rich moisturizing lotion is just as great as the body butter, but I personally prefer the thickness of body butter and after using mostly body butters for so long, it really seems as though lotions are loose and runny. This one is not runny, but like I said compared to using body butters it seems that way. I also use this on Ezio and in all honesty, I probably use this one the most on Ezio as I hog the body butter for myself. He wont mind, either one seems to help with his random rashes and even some of his slight eczema patches. I don't put this on anything that is a large affected area, open skin, etc as it is scented and I'm not quite sure how it would feel. Ouch, is what I want to avoid! I have had small cuts on my hands when I put this on myself and have never felt any burning.

Almond & Honey Shea Sugar Body Scrub
Almond & Honey Shea Sugar Body Scrub comes in an 18oz jar and has an average retail value of $6.99/jar. This one has to be my favorite! This gentle sugar scrub is made with certified organic Shea butter, real Honey and an array of natural oils, which include Evening Primrose, sweet Almond, Avocado, Macadamia See and Orange Oil as well as real sugar grains and Almond bits. The real sugar grains and Almond bits will softly buff away dead skin calls, leaving your skin feeling extra smooth all day! I am in love with this shea sugar scrub, it really leaves your skin feeling amazingly smooth!

The first time I ever tried a body scrub was way back before my blogging days, when I was a giveaway junkie just like you! I won a mineral salt scrub and I was in love! This sugar body scrub is a lot nicer then that first one I tried. The mineral salt scrub was just like mineral salt and oil.... eh, not as great as this sugar scrub! There are so many more benefits and natural and organic ingredients in here and it leaves my skin feeling like a baby's bottom! I use this at least twice a week, you really shouldn't use it more then once every two to three days as your don't want to strip off healthy skin, just the dead stuff. After I shave my legs I always use this sugar scrub on them, with the soothing of the shea butter and the exfoliating ability /89my legs don't itch hardly at all! Previous to using this sugar scrub my legs would start to itch almost immediately after running the razor over just one strip, my legs after shaving is really the only sensitive skin I have. I also love using this mostly on my arms, underarms and legs. We live in a very old house (built in the early 1920's) and it is so dry in our house so my arms, underarms and legs itch like crazy when I get out of the shower. Since I began using this I can enjoy the refreshing feeling after showering with out the annoying itch. It is a sanity saver!

Almond & Honey Shea Shower Wash
Shea Moisturizing Shower Wash comes in a 16oz bottle and has an average retail value of $5.99/bottle. Extra rich and creamy body wash made with certified organic Shea butter, honey and almond oil. This extra rich shower wash cuts through the daily buildup on your skin, leaving you with a beautiful, smooth and soft complexion.

Who doesn't like creamy body washes? I know I love them! Others just seem like gel and/or gel mixed with water. I'm not sure about you, but I know I don't want to wash mine or my children's bodies with something that I'm unsure of cleaning our skin. This body wash is definitely moisturizing as well as a comfortable feeling when you rub it across your skin. I use this body wash on Ezio and Jedilynn. Jedilynn is 7 years old and has normal skin, with no issues, unlike Ezio who has sensitive skin and eczema.

We love our Tree Hut Shea Almond & Honey Bath and Body Products!

There are NUTS in my washer and they are amazing! Eco Nuts Soap Nuts Review & Giveaway US 7/11

What are Soap Nuts?
Eco Nuts Soap Nuts are a berry that grows in the Himalayas that naturally produces a soap. This soap is called saponin which is a natural cleaner that works as a surfactant, breaking the surface tension of the water to penetrate the fibers of your clothing and lifting stains from the fabric while leaving dirt suspended int he water that is then rinsed away.

Eco Nuts are gentle on both clothing and skin, they are ideal for those with sensitive skin, eczema, allergies and psoriasis. Due to them being so milk, they are perfect for baby clothes and cloth diapers. They are All-Natural making them great for septic and grey water systems. Don't expect these shells to foam up like your commercial soaps that have artificial foaming agents. Foam simply does not represent cleaning power!

Eco Nuts are gathered from wild trees grown without any kind of chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides. The saponin actually tastes bad to the insects so no pesticides are needed. The trees naturally love poor uncultivated soil, they are organically grown by mother earth and certified USDA Organic by Oregon Tilth. Eco Nuts Soap Nuts are both de-seeded and sterilized, they are the only soap nuts on the market that are.

What if you have a nut allergy?
If you remember from the above section, Eco Nuts Soap Nuts are actually berries. Don't let the name throw you off or intimidate you from using them. As some of my readers may remember, my 3 year old, Cade has a tree nut allergy.

If they are not nuts then how did they gain their name you may be wondering as I was as well. They have been named "nuts" because they dry into hard shells like a nut shell.

Our Eco Nuts Experience!

Eco Nuts are an Organic Laundry Soap, but with out the mess and spillages of powders and liquids. Although Eco Nuts does offer a liquid form as well. Eco Nuts are fragrance free, hypoallergenic, biodegradable (no waste to be left behind), non-toxic and kills odors making them great for those stinky cloth diapers.

They look strange for something I was about to toss into my washer to clean probably the dirtiest things I've ever had to wash, my cloth diapers from two stinky toddler boys! I received a 100 load box of Eco Nuts, it also included two small bag with drawstring for you to put your Eco Nuts in and then toss that into the washer.

I read the box, which are the directions for when washing laundry with Eco Nuts, so I put 5 Eco Nuts into the bag, closed it up and tossed it in my washer with my load of cloth diapers. What I should have done was read a bit more about using Eco Nuts to wash cloth diapers, but it was time to wash some diapers and I was way too excited! After reading a bit more however, I did find out that you only need 2-4 Eco Nuts in the cloth bag when doing cloth diaper laundry, also, if your washing machines gets really hot you need even less Eco Nuts! My washing machine does not have a hot setting, the hottest setting is hot/cold and I'm almost certain the water I wash my dishes with is at least twice as hot as the washing machine.

There's nuts in my washer and balls in my dryer!! What is going on here?! Oh yea that's right, something that is awesome, better for the environment and for my little monkeys' bodies!

You can even leave the cloth bag with the Eco Nuts in it through the entire wash cycle, including the rinse cycle! How so? Because the rinse cycle has much cooler water causing less saponin to be released. Very little of it is released during the rinse cycle. If you accidentally toss the bag of Eco Nuts into the dryer and dry them, no problem, they are still usable and not ruined! You can even use Eco Nuts in a front loader and HE machines.

After two loads of diapers I opened up my cloth bag with the soap nuts inside and above is what I found. Not a huge difference then what I put in to the bag, the nuts that were whole have just separated into two pieces. You can continue to use your soap nuts that are in your cloth bag for approximately 10 loads or until they begin to disintegrate, please see the chart below for a better idea of what they may look like.

How to tell when your eco nuts are used up

It's like a bad habit, I always have to sniff my cloth diapers and other laundry as well when I pull it out of the washer. I do so to make sure the diapers and laundry are clean smelling, especially the diapers. When I pulled out my first load I wasn't sure how they would smell, kind of thought they would smell a bit "weird" because they were washed with nuts that are actually berries and while the nuts in the box do not smell bad or weird, I still just wasn't sure. Anyhow, when I sniffed my first load of diapers that were washed with soap nuts I was in AW! I could not believe how clean they looked, felt and smelled clean!! I'm either going crazy or they were actually cleaner as well, dingy, old and well pre-loved before our use of some diapers looked brighter!

This is ONLY the second thing I have found that is okay on my boys' skin!! As some of you may know or remember from previous post both of our boys have sensitive skin and eczema. We have tried at least 7 other cloth diaper safe detergents and they all caused horrible rashes/burns of some sort or they caused bad build up, etc. I also love that Eco Nuts really do eliminate odors and do not just cover up the odors with the strong scents of the detergents. We've tried many different CD safe detergents with scents and with out, but nothing like Eco Nuts! Other detergents with out scents left our diapers smelling like dirty water. I truly am in love if you haven't been able to tell by now.

In additional to washing our cloth diapers with Eco Nuts, tomorrow I will begin washing the boys' clothes with Eco Nuts as well. Eventually I'd like to also wash all laundry with Eco Nuts, but for now I want to preserve them for cloth diapers.

So how do you store Eco Nuts? That's simple! Just keep them in a cool and dry place!

Eco Nuts is a 2-in-1 Natural Fabric Softener, contains no optical brighteners, no dyes, is fragrance and SLS free. SLS is sodium lauryl sulfate, a hormone disruptor.

Eco Nuts medium 100 load box is only $11.99 that's just $0.11 per load! The large 360 load box is $34.95 at just $0.09 per load and the liquid Eco Nuts detergent 60/120HE loads is only $18.99 making it $0.31 per load in a standard washer or $0.15 per load in an HE machine. More amazing bang for your buck with Eco Nuts!
