Sudsy Dough - Moldable Bath Soap Review

Sudsy Dough Moldable Bath Soap
Disclosure: We received the below product in exchange for our honest review. All opinions and experiences are our own and may differ from yours.

Sudsy Dough

Sudsy Dough is a fun bath toy that also doubles as moldable and scented dough which is also cleansing soap! It was created as a fun sensory soap to make bath time more fun for their daughter who didn't really enjoy her bathes. With the creation of Sudsy dough, their daughter now asks for bathes nightly! Children can squeeze Sudsy Dough while in the bath tub, rub it on as a cleansing body wash or take it outside of the tub and make custom-shaped soaps! If left out in open air Sudsy Dough will dry as mini bars of scented soap. Oh and lets not forget the surprise bath toy hidden inside of each Sudsy Dough.

We received a 12oz tub of the Merry Mango Sudsy Dough ($14ARV) for review. Sudsy Dough is infused with Shea Butter & Coconut Oil allowing it moisturize while cleaning. They come in four different scents and colors. It does create a little bit of suds, but not a ton. Sudsy Dough is also Paraben-free, Phthalate-free and sulfate-free, plus it is handmade in the USA!

My boys absolutely loved playing with their Sudsy Dough. I had to split the tub in half so they both had their own balls of dough to play with. For about a week or two after the Sudsy Dough was all gone, because it is soap after all, they continued to ask for it. My boys have never disliked bathes and it's typically hard to get them out of the tub. However, it is great for sensory and since it's something fun to play with it makes the sensory aspect of it even greater. My 5 year old has some sensory issues and he was a little leary on touching the Sudsy Dough at first. He seen his brother and myself playing with it and then he started to poke at it a little bit until he was comfortable enough to hold it in his own hands. Who wouldn't love some bath time play dough?

Our surprise toy was a cute little green rubber duckie. This little duck has not left our bath tub since we opened our Sudsy Dough. He's so little and cute!

Sudsy Dough will make bath time fun for any little ones who do not care for it. It will also help with Sensory problems as it has for my middle child. The dough did seem to start crumbling apart after a little while of having it and it being taken out to be played with in the tub and then stored back in the container. However, my boys still had tons of fun with it and I would definitely buy some more for them. We're always looking for new toys and fun things to play with in the bath tub.

Dial Deep Cleansing Sugar Cane Husk Liquid Hand Soap Review

Dial Deep Cleansing Sugar Cane Husk Hand Soap
Dial's Deep Cleansing Sugar Cane Husk Liquid Hand Soap has been formulated with gentle micro scrubbers for deep cleansing while also moisturizing and smoothing the skin. It is infused with a creamy sweet scent that has been inspired by fresh cut sugar cane.

I love Dial Soap products, currently I have four bottles at the kitchen sink where the majority of the hand washing is done. The Sugar Cane Husk, Deep Cleansing Liquid Soap is my current favorite. Before receiving this sample for review I did have a bottle that I purchased at the beginning of winter. I have to say that it has definitely helped my hands through the cold winter. Our home is an old, dry home so even if I wash dishes or other things around the house and don't go out into the cold weather my hands still become dry and itchy. I rarely had dry or itchy hands this winter and the only thing I've done differently is that I've washed my hands with this soap after I wash dishes each time.

Everyone in our home uses this soap for their hand washing and we all love it! We love the scent of the soap and the deep cleansing. With three kids, two of which being little boys they are always washing their hands and I feel this hand soap helps get their hands nice and clean. Whether it be sticky food, juice, or who knows what else we've always accomplished nice clean hands with this soap

I feel this is a safe soap for myself and my children to use. Even with Ezio's eczema and sensitive skin I have not noticed any irritation or reactions from this soap which is an additional plus for me. Please note that this is just our personal experience, I can not say how others with or without eczema or sensitive skin will "handle" this soap.

Dr. Wood's Naturally Soaps Review

Dr. Wood's Soap is made here in the US with the finest ingredients from across the world. They are making a different by doing what is right for you, your family and the Earth as they do not want to be wasteful and rob future generations of Earth's natural resources.

Dr. Wood's Products are:

  • No animal ingredients
  • No artificial colors
  • Not tested on animals
  • pH balanced
  • Biodegradable
  • No lauryl/laureth sulfates
  • Paraben and phthalate free
 Dr. Wood's Bar Soaps

Dr. Wood's bar soaps come in nine different scents that help you best match your skin's needs. All of the bar soaps are made with Castile soap. Dr. Wood's soaps are very mild, moisturizing and because they originate from Castile, Spain the soaps are vegetable based, containing no animal fat. These bar soaps are versatile and great for everyday use as body wash, facial cleanser, shampoo and even bath soaks. These soaps do not contain any harsh detergents which can strip away your skin's natural moisture and they are rich in Vitamin E which leave your skin feeling naturally soft and clean. Castile Soap contain olive oil which gives it the natural healing properties and the ability to attract  moisture as well as hold it close to your skin to form a breathable layer that prevents moisture loss.

These bar soaps are available in 5 frangrances, which are; Almond, Baby Mild, Peppermint, Lavender and Tea Tree. They also have 4 other bar soap scents which you can find here

We received the Baby Mild bar of Dr. Wood's Castile soap. It has a very mild clean scent to it and is rather enjoyable. The soap lathers up great on skin as well as on a damp or wet rag. Ezio and Cade both have sensitive skin and eczema. This is the first bar soap I have used on them and it really was not as tough to accomplish as I thought it would be. As I figured, liquid soap must be easier right? I mean you can squirt as much as you would like into your hand and the get everyone of your little chunker chunk rolls nice and clean. Well lathering up my own hands with the Dr. Wood's bar soap and then washing up the boys was just as easy! The only thing I had to do different was to try and keep Ezio away from the bar of soap. I'm not sure why, but he loves to chew on or maybe just eat soap! I hope he doesn't grow up with a potty mouth because at this point he would be gladly eating a bar of soap for cursing and not have a care in the world about doing so.

Mommy's little helper showing off his new soap!

When I use traditional fragrance body washes on the boys they often end up developing a rash from being sensitive to the fragrance as well as their eczema flaring up. We had none of that with the Dr. Wood's Castile bar soap in Baby Mild. The boys bodies were so soft, just as babies should and I noticed that the slight rough patches that Ezio was starting to get on his thigh and knee were much smoother and softer when he was out of the bath. Jedilynn has also used this bar soap and she says that she really likes it. Even after she got out of the tub after using the bar soap she came to me and rubbed her arm and told me, "Mommy, this soap made my skin model soft!". What a cutie hey?!  She comes up with some the best things!

I truly like the Dr. Wood's bar soap and would love to try some other scents. Having the Baby Mild to try out first is amazing because the boys usually take a bath just before bedtime, which can be bad if I use a scented soap because then Ezio more often the Cade, will be up all night or most of it just uncomfortable from being itchy. I love our very restful nights with using this soap.

Dr. Wood's also have other products such as; Organic Oils, Liquid Soaps and Shea Vision Facial Cleansers.

Buncha Farmers Stain Sticks & Manuka Soap {Sponsor Spotlight}

A group of farmers and local artisans in the Greater Toronto Region, Durham Region and Region of York in Central Ontario, started the BunchaFarmers company in the summer of 2006. Their first store was opened on one of the members Farms in Stouffville. There were some disagreement on in which direction the company should go and some of the members dropped out, the remaining few shareholders opened a new location in Queensville on another farm that had a country store. They began developing organic and natural products for Wholesale and distribution. This crew of farmers also operates three Farmers' Markets.

Stain Stick

Stain Remover - Click Image to Close
Buncha Farmers Stain Stick ($4.42/bar)  is all natural, made with all-natural, biodegradeable ingredients and enhanced with borax to soften the water and aid in the cleaning process. This stain stick does not contain any artificial dyes or perfumes, it does have natural scents from eucalyptus and deodorizing power of litsea. This stain stick works great on grass, red wine, ketchup, blood, grease, underarm stains, stains and dinginess in cloth diapers, etc. It can even be used on walls!

You can scrape off a little bit of the bar and throw it right in with your regular was. I made a 'concoction' of Soap Nuts and Buncha Farmers with a recipe I found on Buncha Farmers Inc. Facebook Group! You can rub directly on the stain with a little water and lather it on or you can melt some n hot water and spray or rub it onto carpet surfaces, car seats, etc.

I use the Soap Nut and Buncha Farmers concoction as our laundry detergent and cloth diaper detergent. Our boys have sensitive skin and this works great on their diapers and after a week of using this on our diapers we have yet to have a rash!! Usually if either of the boys is going to have a reaction to a detergent used on their diapers it presents it self, often in full force, with in just a few hours. The diapers smell nice and clean with out the heavy scent of other detergents.

I have so many things I want to try BunchaFarmers Stain Remover on, just have to find the time and I will definitely share the magic with all of you! I am looking forward to removing stains on my couch, Cade's car seat is pretty gross and even has a little bit of mold growing on the underside of his car seat cover. I am also going to give the stain stick remover a shot on the drawings Cade thought were necessary to do on the walls! I've tried a few other things to get the random crayon, marker, pen, etc off of the walls and dressers with little to no success and a ton of effort.

Manuka Soap

Manuka Soap ($3.99/bar) is made with healing honey/Genuine Manuka Honey from New Zealand. The Manuka Soap is available in three different scents, Lavender, Lemongrass and Oatmeal, all of them are natural soaps that are perfect for those with sensitive skin or even if you just feel your need more moisturizing body and/or hand wash. The different scents of the Manuka Soap have their own benefits, such as the Honey & Lavender being a calming and soothing soap, Honey and Lemongrass helps to deodorize and refresh and the Honey and Oatmeal is non scented with the benefits of oatmeal and honey to help soothe sensitive skin as well as eczema. I love using oatmeal and honey on both of the boys' as they both have sensitive skin and eczema. All of the Manuka Soaps from BunchaFarmers are handmade in Ontario, Canada, using only the finest of ingredients. You can view the ingredients here.

My Simple Clean Review & $10GC Giveaway WW 8/8

My Simple Clean is all about homemade green, chemical free and cost effective products that will be safe for pets as well as those with sensitive skin. All ingredients used in My Simple Clean products are readily available for you to see with nothing hidden and words everyone can pronounce and understand.

 Shea Butter Soap

The Shea Butter Soap ($5ARV) is made with Shea Butter, gylcerine, lanolin and caocao. This bar of soap is about 4 ounces and thick, it provides moisture to your skin and comes unscented or in a variety of other scents. The Simply Soap I received was blackberry scented and smelled so good! My skin felt like a baby's bottom after using this soap and didn't cause any yucky filmy feeling on my skin. I've also used this on the boys and they haven't had any reactions to it, which is awesome.

Odor Out

Odor Out ($3ARV) comes in a glass salt shaker and has a minty orange scent and kicks those stinks in not so easily washable items to the curb! This product was created by Jamie with her teens shoes in mind as the odor would make you gag from ten feet away! Sounds like my daughter's super stinky feet! Whether she wears tennis shoes, sandals or flip flops her feet always stink, but she is my sweat monster. During the school year when she comes home from school I am ready to puke as soon as her shoes come off. I make her go rinse/wash her feet off in the tub and then I can breathe again. She has been away at great grandma's house most of the summer so I have not tried this yet on her shoes, but definitely will be once the school year starts... especially on gym days!

I currently use Odor Out in my garbage can. With a household of five, lots of food and sometimes the use of disposables out garbage can definitely can wreak up the kitchen if not the house! Yuck! I just sprinkled a little bit of the Odor Out in the bottom of the garbage can, placed the garbage bag inside and I haven't noticed a real issue with odor coming from it. I am also going to sprinkle a little bit in the bottom of my diaper pail, which might at least eliminate the odor in my pail liner which is delaminating and sure does stink. I end up having to wash it w/every load of diapers.

Simple Clean Laundry
Simple Clean Laundry ($8ARV) comes in a 6 cup/72 load super concentrated super thick soap, load size depends on your machine. Jamie has deiscovered a lot of uses for this other then just for laundry. It is also a great odor remover of things such as diesel, gas, sweat and other things men may have on their clothing. As well a pretreatment stain remover for oil, grass and ink. How amazing is that?! Just wait til you hear the ingredients, no chemicals, dyes or perfumes! Only sodium tetraborate, sodium carbonate, hydrogen peroxide, organic hemp oil, organic olive oil, organic jojoba oil, citric acid and tocopherol. It is also biodegradable. I receive a two load sample of this laundry detergent and my clothes smell amazing! This detergent is also cloth diaper safe and imagine such fresh smelling diapers. Oh, I wish I could share the fresh and clean laundry smell with all of you! It's not like other detergents that are cloth diaper safe and leave your diapers and clothing smelling like dirty water, this actually leave a clean scent.

Paw-Perroni

Paw-Perroni ($5ARV) come in a dozen of regular bones or two dozen of mini bones and paw shaped treats, they are allergen friendly dog treats and only contain, brown rice flour, quinola, veggie cheese, turkey pepperoni and beef broth (homemade w/NO sodium). They are obviously fresh, strong delicious smell for the fury friends and soft making them great for even the older dogs who may have bad teeth and a hard time chewing the harder treats.

Monk is just a puppy and of course loved the Paw-Perroni! He couldn't get enough of them!

Lucy, Monk's mom is not a picky eater and eats things that most dogs wont and definitely loves candy! She also loves the Paw-Perroni!

What better then a yummy treat for your fury friend? When you purchase dog treats from My Simple Clean $2 of every treat sold goes directly to 4 Paws For Abilities, an organization that changes the lives of special needs children and their families on a daily basis. These $2 from every treat purchase will be donated directly to the organization to help them build a larger building to help them expand and be able to continue doing the awesome things they are doing for these sweet children and their families.
