The KinderGlo is a fully rechargeable and portable LED night light that is designed for kids to cuddle and carry with them for a peaceful night. The
KinderGlo is bright enough for it to help guide your child through the house during the night, but also soft enough for them to fall asleep by. With the LED lights, these night lights are 100% safe as they never get hot to the touch and are made of non-toxic materials meaning your child can safely cuddle with their friend through out the night.
I chose the
Dragon KinderGlo Night Light ($24.95ARV) for Cade. One of our many favorite movies is How to Train Your Dragon so I figured this Dragon KinderGlo would be perfect for protecting him through out the night from the fear of the unknown in the dark. Cade is 4 years old and has a pretty grave fear of the dark, before getting this KinderGlo we'd leave the bathroom door open for him at night with the light on. It wasn't comforting enough for him even though the bathroom light would light up his room pretty well. Now that he has the KinderGlo he seems much more comfortable in his room at bedtime.
Features:
- Includes charging station (compatible with all KinderGlo characters)
- Timer: 30 minute auto shut-off or continuous on
- Color modes: continuous cycling or choose red, blue, or green
- Phthalates, BPA & lead free
- 6' charging cable
We have incorporated the KinderGlo into our daily routine. At bedtime the "Light Dragon" as Cade calls it, is turned onto green and placed on the dresser. I'm not sure why Cade doesn't cuddle it... maybe in fear that he will roll onto it or his blanket will cover the light? Plus, there is a better glow when it's on the dresser and it seems to light up more of the room. Anyhow, in the morning Cade takes his Light Dragon to daddy for it to be placed safely on daddy's computer desk so it doesn't become lost through out the day.
Over Fourth of July weekend we all stayed the night at Nana's house, but we didn't think to grab the Light Dragon. Bedtime was a little tricky with Cade. Thankfully Nana has night lights, they use them to light the hallways so they can see if they want to get up for a glass of water or for whatever other reasons. So Bumpa took a night light from one of the bedrooms and put it in the living room where I slept with Cade and Jedilynn as well as two of Dan's nieces. Bumpa also turned their dimmer lights above the fire place on real low to give a nice glow for Cade to feel more comfortable. Even with the dimmer lights on, the night light and ME sleeping next to him was not quite enough to make him fully comfortable. We now know for next time and when we go to the family reunion next month that we have to take the Light Dragon with us.
Taking the Light Dragon (
Dragon KinderGlo) with us when we or even just Cade stays the night else where is not a problem! The Light Dragon is 5.25" tall and 4" wide so it's not too big to put into his bag of clothes. And packing the charger as a just in case... NO problem! It is a very slim base that the KinderGlo night light sits on top of.
As I'm sure you've been able to tell by reading this review, Cade absolutely loves his KinderGlo Dragon Night Light. As a mother and seeing how comfortable Cade is at bedtime since receiving this night light, I as well love it! I would recommend this product to anyone who has a child, whether they are afraid of the dark or not.
