This & That - Especially For You: No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed Sign Review

Disclosure: I received the below item in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own and may differ from those of your own.

This & That - especially for you
This & That - especially for you was created by a wonderful local woman. She repurposes, upcycles and reimagines all things into handcrafted home decor and gifts. The majority of her pieces are one-of-a-kind and made especially for you. These pieces help you add that unique touch to your home decor.

No More Monkeys!

I was rather excited to meet up with the maker of these signs and the saying, "No more monkeys jumping on the bed." is quite fitting considering my blog name. She has created many variations (colors) of this sign and they are all wonderful. They measure 12" by 12" and are $18ARV.

Each sign is handmade, they are birchwood that has been sanded and painted, which you can choose the color. She applies two coats of acrylic paint and hand paints the lettering. She then distresses them if you'd like, I love the look of distressed crafted items so I had her distress our sign, if you'd prefer she can stain it instead. As a finishing touch she wither uses wax or polyurethane to help protect them. These monkey signs come with a little SAWTOOTH hanger on the back.

I remember when I was a little girl I'd jump on the bed and my grandpa and mom would sing the Five Little Monkeys song with me. This is the reason I named my blog Mami's 3 Little Monkeys, my children will try anything to be able to jump on a bed, even if that means they have to kneel and bounce. They even jump on the top bunk. They are seriously little monkeys! So the sign definitely fits our household. I have to hang another nail so I can hang this sign, but I haven't decided if I want to chance hanging it in their room. The boys are quite mischievous! Just like monkeys.

I love the craftsmanship and durability of this sign. I know it will last til I have grandchildren one day, but lets not go there... When my oldest seen this sign she gave me that look, like mom, really?! She joins her little brothers in jumping on the beds and she is nine years old. But who am I kidding, I'm an adult and a mother and I still jump on the bed with the kids every now and then. Shhh....

This & That offers many other products as well!

Aden & Anais carries products for baby, most of which are blankets, swaddle blankets and other bedding items made of muslin cotton. Cotton muslin is one of the world's oldest and most cherished woven fabrics. Seven thousand years ago it the civilization of Indus Valley dressed in muslin. It was also used by the Egyptians to both swaddle babies and to wrap those who passed away.It adorned the robes of ancient Greeks and Romans. The story of muslin is the story of civilization.

Muslin protects its wearers from the heat and cold. It has swaddled countless babies from every Continent and draped the shoulders of the wise and the elderly from one corner of the Earth to the other. It is a fabric that binds all humanity together, through out all time, all places and all cultures!

It is the purest, most simple and gentle fabric in the world. Muslin is also durable and gentle, soft and strong, breathable and comfortable.

We received the Jungle Jam Monkey Dream Blanket - Classic Dream Blanket ($49.95). Ezio is my little monkey. The little monkeys on this blanket are super cute!

Aden + Anais Dream Blankets are made of soft and breathable muslin cotton, which provides plenty of warmth without overheating. This plush blanket is a great size, measuring 47" X 47" and uses four layers of fabric, making it ideal for snuggling. Ezio loves his dream blanket. We use it as nursing cover and Ezio doesn't end up sweating buckets while nursing. I love using this blanket when we lay down together for nap time as it is large enough to cover me a bit as well. I LOVE this blanket!!

This blanket may seem too large to some for smaller babies, but I like the size as there is enough blanket to be tucked on the sides of the mattress to hold the blanket in place.
