One Of A Kind Wool Dryer Balls

Beck sent us a Custom one of a kind Starter Set ($35ARV) of her absolutely amazing wool dryer balls! A starter set of wool dryer balls from Beck's Wares contains 6 dryer balls and is the perfect amount of dryer balls to get anyone started with using them. The Starter Set comes with 2 Large which consist of at least 1 oz of wool each, 2 Medium which consist of at least 0.6oz of wool each and 2 Small which consist of at least 0.4oz of wool each, making a total of 4 oz of felted wool dryer balls. This provides the right amount to help reduce your drying time as well as static cling and it also helps to soften your clothing. Beck makes her dryer balls to order, so if there is a certain color or color combination that you would prefer, she is perfectly okay with you sending her a message.

This beautiful set or wool dryer balls was a special one of a kind gift from Beck, though she can not recreate these, she does have many other fun images available in her store. Some of Beck's other beautiful wool dryer balls have owls (as you can see above in the first photo), flowers, sock monkeys and even some other fun Geeky images. Beck also takes custom orders, I bet if you cloth diaper and request a cloth diaper to be made on a wool dryer ball, maybe a cloth diaper pin on another and so on, that would be absolutely adorable! The work that Beck does on these wool dryer balls is absolutely amazing! The designs are all done by hand with a tiny needle that pushes the wool roving into the dryer ball and this definitely takes talent to make such neat and beautiful designs on them!

Okay, so you're probably wondering - How well do they work?!
Well, I cloth diaper and the majority of my stash now consists of fitted diapers which more often then not take longer to dry then, say pockets and inserts. With these felted wool dryer balls, I only need to dry the diapers once on low heat. Yes, sometimes some thicker soakers and shells are still damp when the first cycle is done, however, I no longer need to run the dryer a second time since using these dryer balls. Now the dampness is so minimal that I can bring the entire load up and use one of the fully dry diapers and the slightly damp diapers are fully dry by the time we need to change Ezio. It works out perfectly and I'm so pleased! I really do not like to have to run the dryer twice, although I usually utilize that second dry very well and toss in my next load of laundry with the rest of the diapers that needed to be dried, but then sometimes the dryer was too full and the diapers left behind still weren't dry. It really is easier like this.

What else have the dryer balls helped with other then drying diapers quicker?
Well, Cade wears pull-ups at night time and usually leaks out of his pull-up. Why not use diapers? He usually leaks out of those as well... So, I have to wash his bedding nearly EVERY day! And I only have one actual bedding set for him, meaning I usually need to get his bedding washed and dried fully within about 2 hours so he can have a made bed come nap time. He has a very nice and thick comforter and I also usually have to wash his pillows too. So having the dryer balls really helps to reduce the amount of time it takes to dry all of his bedding, including his comforter and pillows. I'm not sure about others, but I never put him down for a nap or to bed with even a slightly damp pillow. I know I wouldn't like to sleep with or on anything even slightly damp. These dryer balls have also greatly reduced the amount of static cling from drying his bedding! Seriously before, I would bring his bedding up and put it down somewhere while taking care of other things and go back to the bedding to make his bed and there would still be static built up in the bedding. Also, when pulling his bedding out of the dryer if I touched the dryer door I would get a pretty strong shock from it, every time.

I so greatly love these wool dryer balls! They aren't boring and plain, they show our personalities and our interests as well as helping in multiple ways with laundry duties. As a mom of three and doing laundry for five people, including cloth diaper laundry and bedding nearly daily, every bit of help with laundry goes a long way! These felted wool dryer balls from Beck's Wares definitely do not disappoint!

  2. The owls are simply adorable. I suppose I would have to go with something foresty - leaves, trees, something like that.
