Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late & Children Make Terrible Pets DVDs Review & Giveaway! US 9/26

Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late
& 3 More Stories from Mo Willems

Mo Willems DVD line from Scholastic Storybook Treasures are multi-award winning, this line features three animated adaptations of stories by the New York Times best-selling author including Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late.

Don't Let the Pigeon Stay up Late ($14.95ARV) is a story about a stubborn Pigeon who is NOT going to bed, even as it becomes darker and darker! Scholastic has named the original story as one of the best books for kindergartners and first graders. This animated version of the story stays true to it's original - the best selling book.

This DVD of Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late as well as the three additional stories are all very cute. Ezio who is 20 months old, loved all 4 stories! He sat leaned so contently and watched them all, not many shows can grab his attention this well!

I love that these stories have a read-along function, while Ezio is a bit too young for this, Cade who is 3 years old and Jedilynn who is 7 years old can definitely benefit from this. On this DVD there is also an interview with New York Times Best-Selling Author, Mo Willems, himself. You can also find a delicious recipe for Edwina's Chocolate Chip Cookies on this DVD!

Children Make Terrible Pets & 4 More Stories About Family

Children Make Terrible Pets ($14.95ARV) is an animated tale where Lucy, a young bear, meets a charming young boy in the forest and brings him home. Her mother, however, cautions her that, "children make terrible pets." Lucy tries to prove her mother wrong and the tale becomes quite comical. The original story for this animated tale has won many awards, including The New York Times Best Illustrated Book.

The kids also greatly enjoyed watching Children Make Terrible Pets and I found it quite funny at times, just due to their silly lines or sayings. Ezio also contently watched these short stories, aside from when I was busted for taking his picture. Cade also likes to watch these short stories, but it's super hard to find something to really hold his attention, which is a plus about these being just that... short! Read-along feature is also available on these short stories.
