 CARS Building Blocks

These awesomely adorable CARS building blocks (ARV$39.95) are made of 2 inch wooden blocks. The blocks come in sets of 13, which contain two letters per block. Meaning that all 26 letters of the alphabet are represented on these blocks. On 10 out of the 13 blocks there are the numbers 0-9 as well. The remaining sides have different CARS pictures on them. You can customize these blocks anyway you would like. I requested that the letters 'C', 'A', 'D' and 'E' be put on different blocks so we could spells Cade's name (as seen in the above photo). These blocks are made with non toxic, water based paint and sealant, however, this does not mean that these blocks are suitable for teething.

Cade has not taken much of an interest in learning how to spell his name just yet, so the fact that these blocks spell out his name is more so for me as well as for show. He is learning his alphabet though and knows his numbers, so he loves identifying the different numbers and letters on the blocks. That is the educational excitement for me that we achieve with these blocks. His favorite aspect of these blocks is naming the different CARS characters, his favorites of course are Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater!

Other then supervised playing with these blocks I more so use them for decoration in his bedroom as Ezio who is only 1.5 years old still loves to put nearly everything in his mouth. When we were playing with them, my camera was dead so I will have to update with a fun photo of him playing with them.

When Cade builds, he builds very intently.

All of his blocks needed to be stacked perfectly so he was checking to make sure they were straight.

Unfortunately, they were not all straight so after an attempt to straighten them up he ended up taking his tower down and rebuilding it. He played on the kitchen floor with his wooden CARS building blocks for at least an hour while his brother napped. After he was finished he put the blocks in his Pirate Backpack so his baby brother would not get them. At bedtime, Cade took the blocks out of his backpack and placed them back into the priority mail shipping box that we received them in, this will be their home until the box is no longer usable or until I can talk him into leaving them up as decoration and display his name.
