Cade painted himself!

My mom, godmother and myself painted with Cade and Ezio this evening. We painted on canvas and well... Cade painted himself. I started it. I had the boys paint with their hands after they were painting with their paint brushes. Cade's hands were full of paint so I told him to clap his hands. Exactly what I wanted to happen DID! The paint splattered onto him and myself.

Cade has some sensory issues and absolutely hates being dirty! To the point that if he has a spec of water or the tiniest crumb on his clothing or even his sock he HAS to change! No ifs, ands or butts about it. So for him to even paint with his hands was a huge step for him! He did ask several times to wash his hands and I just continued to decline. I thought for sure he'd wig out and be done when I asked him to clap his hands together. He thought it was hilarious!

Over the course of about two hours he escalated the painting fun on his own! He was rubbing paint on his canvas with his hands and I could tell he was thinking about doing something, but I did not expect what came next. He painted his FACE! I was in shock and actually encouraged him to continue/keep on doing so. This was a great step in the right direction for his sensory processing. I'm all about messy fun, it's an adventure for the kids. He then started painting his hair with his hands... he does not like ANYTHING on his hair! I can't even wash his hair! Mind you, he painted his face and hair with BLACK paint!

I don't know what I was doing, but all I remember is my mom telling me, "Look at your HULK!". I turn around to see this.

Sure enough, he painted his arms GREEN! This evening of painting with his grandmas and my godmother was such an awesome evening. I'm still so shocked and proud of him for over coming his "issues".

Yes, he had a bath after painting his arms. I did manage to get his hair and face washed, with a slight meltdown, but we did it. His bath water was BLACK, however his bubbles were still white. I was a little disappointed that his bubbles didn't change colors from the paints.

Thanks for reading. I know for most they wont understand this as it's 'normal' for most kids to paint themselves, but for Cade with his sensory issues and OCD traits this was a huge step for him.

 Everyday Python Tote Bag

Thursday Friday totes are Eco-Friendly and made with 100% Cotton Canvas ($65ARV). The Everyday Python Bag is great for of course everyday use, but what are some thing one may use it for?

I've used it for groceries, a diaper bag, yarn or other arts and crafts on the go bag and my 8 year old daughter has also used this tote bag for her clothing when she goes to a sleep over. We both love the bag and it's the perfect size, not too big, yet not too small.

I love big bags as I have a toddler in cloth diapers which are bulky and I also have a preschooler who is potty learning. So I need to pack lots of stuff when we head out for the day. I can pack enough items into this Everyday Python Canvas Tote Bag for the day for both of the boys! Woohoo!

As it is made of 100% Cotton Canvas it is a durable bag while still being light weight, machine washable and flexible so you could even roll it up and place it into a larger bag.

The images on this tote bag are not died into the fibers of the fabric they are transferred onto the surface. So far no cracking or flaking, however it will occur over time. The images are on the front, back, both sides as well as the bottom!

This is a pretty neat medium sized tote bag. The handles are a great length for those who are tall and those who are shorter. I am 5'6" and can comfortably wear the tote bag with it at a comfortable level against my body. My 8 year old daughter who is around five feet tall can also comfortably wear this tote bag and it is also at a great length against her body.

AllAboutBlanks.com Garnet & Black Game Day Casserole Carrier and Crunch Bin Review

All About Blanks offers a broad range of beautiful embroidery designs as well as products. Some of their products include various tote bags, embroidered towels and aprons, blankets, table linens and so much more! They've also got several new and beautiful items which are perfect for summer, if it ever appears!

Garnet & Black Game Day Crunch Bin & Casserole Carrier!

I was quite thrilled to receive these Game Day Garnet & Black; Casserole Carrier ($29.50ARV) and the Chevron Crunch Bin ($24.50ARV). The Casserole Carrier has a canvas exterior and polyester lining which offers easy cleaning. This carrier measures 15.75" by 11.25" by 3", the perfect size for all different sizes and combinations of casserole and glass baking dishes. The chevron Crunch Bin also has a canvas exterior, it also has an easy cleaning interior surface. This bin is generously sized, measuring 21" L by 10" W by 15" H.

One of the first things I noticed about both of these products was that they are both of great quality and have lots of years of life in them. The Casserole Carrier has hook and loop carrying straps.

I love that the Crunch Bin is large enough to hold the Casserole Carrier and still has TONS of room for more stuff. This would be perfect for family gatherings if you bring food and other items, picnics, or even for other uses other then carrying food. I've stored my yarn in the Crunch Bin for a while, until Ezio repeatedly started pulling my yarn out, so now it is in a tote with a lid clipped on, hopefully he doesn't figure out how to open that anytime soon. I've also used the Crunch Bag for corralling all of the kids Christmas presents in the back of the van, other wise they move all over and the gift bags spill out. As you can tell there are many different uses for this Crunch Bin! I love it! I also love the Casserole Carrier! A plain blue one came with my 14 piece Pyrex dish set, but that is so boring! This awesome Garnet & Black Casserole Carrier is much more fun in Chevron and better for presenting your dish. The Casserole Carrier is strong and sturdy, it can hold a heavy glass casserole dish and honestly some of the things I make in my casserole dish are pretty heavy! I haven't run into an issue yet.

Buzzworthy Baby Canvas Wall Art (ARV$129) Review & Giveaway WW 7/12-7/26

Buzzworthy Baby
Buzzworthy Baby's Story
Buzzworthy Baby was formerly known as Baby Art, it was started by Kris O'Neill in 1986 in the tiny back room of her house in Cadillac, MI. Kris loved the idea of a fun, colorful and personalized baby gift that people could hang in their baby's nursery. Kris had the unique idea to integrate information about every newborn into a colorful and versatile collage. This information includes the baby's name, weight, time and date of birth, siblings, parents and other personal information that should and could be preserved forever in a pictorial homage to the family's special day. Kris started out by giving the personalized prints away as gifts to friends and family members with new babies. Once the "buzz" spread of her colorful and intricate designs, she started selling them to families near and far. However, in 1994 she reached a conflict, run a business or be an involved mother to her two sons, Kyle and Devin. A hard decision for sure, but Kris closed up her shop until the day the company could be reawakened, 18 years later, one of Kris's sons decided to rock the cradle. Devin was intrigued by how many people had cherished his mother's artwork, Devin O'Neill rechristened the business side of what he began to call "Buzzworthy Baby".

Cade's Personalized Canvas Wall Art

Buzzworthy Baby's Canvas Wall Art is 14X20 and is printed on high quality artist canvas. The gallery wrapped artwork requires no assembly, comes fully assembled and ready to hang! This pieces features over a dozen points of personalization including family names, birth information as well as a personalized message from you printed on the artwork.

I absolutely love Cade's personalized canvas wall art piece from Buzzworthy Baby! All information is correct, super cute, no misspellings even with the uniqueness of the spelling of our names: Jedilynn, Cade, Ezio and Sarh. I was very pleased to receive such a wonderful piece of art work for Cade's bedroom wall!

This piece includes his first, both middle and last name as well as his siblings names on the train cars at the bottom. It includes all of his birth information, including weight, length with a neat little ruler design, a calender of the month and year he was born, his delivering doctor and a little house design with the address that he lived at when born, which we still live at. The canvas this beautiful piece of artwork is printed on is a very thick and sturdy high quality artist piece of canvas. The design feels very well printed on and feels as though it will last a life time.

I would definitely love to get Jedilynn and Ezio both their own pieces of personalized birth canvas artworks as well! Jedilynn absolutely loved it and thought it was so awesome that it even had hers and Ezio's names on it, that it included everyone, not just Cade. Cade loves the trains on it, at first he thought we could open it and that there were toy trains inside, he didn't understand that it was artwork, but he is only 3 and I know which how much he loves trains that it is just guilty by association due to the trains being on it.
