Firefly Light-Up Toothbrushes Review & Giveaway! US 2/1

FireFly toothbrush was created by Dr. Fresh and is the number one selling kids' toothbrush in the country. They are privileged to say that their flagship product has helped children to develop excellent lifelong oral care habits and also they are proud that they can help reverse the childhood cavity epidemic in out country. Three years ago, FireFly established an annual contest called "Be A Dental Inventor" for elementary school children and it has become an anticipated element of February's National Children's Dental Health Month. The entries into this contest are an ongoing great source of inspiration for them at Firefly.

Light-Up Toothbrushes
We received three Firefly Light-Up Toothbrushes ($3.49ARV/each) for review. These toothbrushes light-up on a timer, meaning after 60 seconds the toothbrush will automatically turn off, which will then signal the child to stop brushing their top row of teeth and begin brushing the bottom row. The colors of the lights are just like traffic lights, they go from green to yellow to red. We received a Spider-Man, Angry Birds and Barbie toothbrushes, each have soft bristles, a sculpted handle and a suction cup on the bottom! The toothbrushes do come with batteries that are to last the lifetime of the toothbrush, meaning they are not replaceable.

Cade absolutely loves to brush his teeth and even more so now with his awesome Light-Up Firefly Spider-Man toothbrush. Every night when it's bedtime he immediately asks to brush his teeth! I love that he remembers this task as a bedtime routine all on his own. The 60 seconds of the toothbrush lighting up is definitely enough time for him to brush the top row of his teeth and then he pushes the button again and has enough time to brush the bottom row of teeth. Cade is 3 1/2 years old, so the 60 seconds should be enough time for older children as well. Once he's finished brushing both his top and bottom row of teeth he rinses out his own toothbrush and sticks it back on the sink to dry. He then enjoys a cup of water before hoping into bed. Cade brushes his teeth absolutely amazingly well for his age as well as the fact that he does so all on his own. He learned how to brush his teeth from myself as well as watching his older sister, Jedilynn. She has been a huge help.

I've brushed Ezio's teeth a few when he was younger, but he is a pretty sassy biter so I try to avoid his mouth area! However, with the FireFly toothbrushes we received, he happily brushes his own teeth and is learning how to brush them better from watching his brother. He is definitely getting better at it and I feel that in no time of allowing him to work at this on his own and watch his brother he will be able to brush his teeth amazingly well, very soon. He hasn't fully grasped the concept that we only brush our teeth twice a day, he wants to go in the bathroom all the time to brush his teeth, even if he is just using water. He has actually sneaked into the bathroom and clogged the bathroom sink as he was brushing his teeth and knocked a FULL roll of toilet paper into the sink.... causing a massive flood in the bathroom and out into the hallway. Definitely never a dull moment here.

Almost every night after they brush their teeth together, they run into the room and both Cade and Ezio hop into Cade's bed. Ezio repeatedly tells me 'na-nigh' in hopes I will leave him in bed with Cade, however he doesn't fall asleep and is soon horsing around. Brushing their teeth has been a great bonding time for the boys as well a very healthy habit for them to both be into at just 2 years old and 3.5 years old. I can say I'm a proud momma and thankful for the unique Light-Up toothbrushes from FireFly!
FireFly also has a variety of other products some of which are, power toothbrushes, mouthwash, tooth paste and even toothfoam as well as other products.
