Sugar Bowl Bakery
Sugar Bowl Bakery started out as a small neighborhood coffee shop in San
Francisco. It was bought in 1984 by five brothers who put their savings
together to purchase Sugar Bowl Bakery.
The Ly brothers made pastries from scratch with only the finest
ingredients and sold them to the local community. They quickly became
the bakery that everyone wanted to stop into for their desserts. Now, 27
years later, Sugar Bowl Bakery has nearly 120K sq. ft of state of the
art production facilities which means that they have custom made ovens,
mixers and robotic packaging lines that have been sourced from all over
the world. This allows Sugar Bowl Bakery to deliver high quality
desserts at affordable prices to grocery stores and warehouse clubs.
Madelaines
Madeleines are delicious buttery soft and slightly sweet French cake cookies. They are great for a light dessert after dinner or enjoy them as a snack with a cup of coffee or tea.
I first tried Sugar Bowl Bakery's Madeleines French cake cookies about a year and a half ago and I immediately fell in love with them! I love shortbread cookies, the way they can sit and melt in your mouth and these Madeleines reminded me a lot of shortbread cookies. The taste isn't quite the same though. The first time we reviewed for Sugar Bowl Bakery we tried their Brownie Bites and these Madeleines. When the opportunity arose to review more of these Madeleines I was all for it! You know, I had to make sure that their batches were constant and such. No, but they are seriously just that tasty! I've searched for them locally with no luck! I've found other Sugar Bowl Bakery products around here, but I just can't seem to find these.

This container of Madeleines was gone with in a few days, the first package I received I hoarded them so I was able to enjoy the vast majority of them. This time I let the kids enjoy most of them. They all loved these so much and of course were sad just as I was when they were gone.
If I find these in stores near me then I am going to dip them in chocolate. Oh, I bet that is so amazing! Or maybe even a little peanut butter! Oh, no I've got it!! Fresh strawberries and a little cool whip! How would you enjoy your Madeleines?
