The Reservoir
The Reservoir is a wonderful tool for your emergency kit. It is a tube that fits in your bath tub, it holds up to 100 Gallons of water and helps keep your water clean as it turns your bath tub into a sanitary storage tank. This handy tool is great for emergency situations, it will save you from standing in long lines to buy bottles water. Hurricanes and tropical storms can disrupt or contaminate your water service for days at a time, but with The Reservoir you can stay at home and have an ample supply of fresh, clean and safe water for cooking, washing and flushing.
The Reservoir holds up to 100 gallons. The emergency management authorities recommend having on hand at least 3 days' worth of drinking water, allowing at least 1 gallon of water per person per day. The Reservoir meets these minimum requirements.
Keeps your water clean and safe! Authorities recommend that you fill your bathtub with tap water. However, the problem with this is that your water supply is then exposed to dirt and debris that could possibly fall into your tubas well as keeping any soap residues on the sides of your tub out of your water supply. The Reservoir is made of food-grade plastic that meets FDA safety standards.
Filling The Reservoir is very simple, just slide the fill tube onto the tub faucet and turn on the water. To get the water out of The Reservoir just use the included siphon pump by giving the bulb a few squeezes to get it started and the water will flow automatically until you open the vent cap. The siphon tube fits into any bottle, jug, teakettle or other container opening. Just fill and go!
The Reservoir Emergency Water Storage System would be great for families in California who still have running water, I've heard many homes are without running water and I honestly can not fathom doing daily chores with out water. Those of us who live in other states with plenty of running water and no fear of running out anytime soon seriously take something so "simple" to us for granted. I can't imagine how families are making things work out in their current conditions. I wish we could fill these reservoirs with fresh and safe water and send them on a semi truck to homes in need of water in California. I know there are some other states that are in for a lack of water rather soon and I hope they will find out about The Reservoir and be able to use it to their advantage for their families.
