Grand Opening in Wauwatosa, WI
This weekend is the GRAND OPENING of the first The Container Store in all of Wisconsin! So very exciting, I can't wait to shop and get organized. Prior to this location, our closest location was down in Illinois. Which is doable, but quite the hike with three littles who wouldn't find much of interest in this store. I was invited to the Blogger Preview of heaven, I am still so thrilled that I was invited to this sneak peek of such a wonderful store. So here I am to share some information and photos with you all.
What is The Container Store?
It's pretty straight forward and the name definitely explains itself. As you may have guessed The Container Store is a store FULL of containers, boxes, closets, totes, travel organization items and so much more! It's the perfect place for all of your organizing needs and if I may say so, the prices are rather nice! I'll definitely buy things for organizing my home from The Container Store and save some dollars as well.
This new store at Mayfair mall here in WI is a 25,000 square foot store that features over 10,000 multi-functional and innovative products. There is no other retailer that offers the extent of storage solutions that The Container Store does. This includes over 300 food storage solutions, 750 organized office products, 50 types of laundry hampers/baskets, 400 solutions to organize a traveler, 70 styles of hangers and so much more!
Not only does The Container Store have a huge one-of-a-kind product collection, but they also have an extremely high level of personalized customer service. For more than 37 years, The Container Store has been executing a solutions-based approach to retail that is liberated by a commitment to employee development and training. Each full-time salesperson receives more than 266 hours of training in their first year! Compare that to the retail industry average of just seven to ten hours.

What is going on for GRAND OPENING weekend?!
This weekend, Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th is the big weekend! For starters, The Container Store has partnered with the Junior League or Milwaukee whom The Container Store will be donating 10% of all opening weekend sales to. The Junior League of Milwaukee is a nonprofit that is an important part of the community. The Junior League of Milwaukee focuses on its community efforts in the areas of education, health, and nutrition of the women and children within the Greater Milwaukee Area.
Who's Ready for Some Sneak Peek Pictures?!
At this event there were 18 local bloggers, including myself. So some of the photos may not be as detailed as I'd have liked and I definitely missed out on some great photos, but it was still a great time and nice to meet some local bloggers! Here they are, please not these photos were taken with my nonsmartphone camera!
How cute are these trash cans?! I love the bright colors and the cute frog, pig, lion and panda would be great for in the kids' room. I know we could use one in their rooms for papers and such when they are crafting.
Stacking Laundry Baskets?!! Yes, please! I know these would come in handy here in our household of five. How would you benefit from stacking laundry baskets?
I saw the opportunity for a great picture and I went for it.
Kitchen storage solutions from the floor to the ceiling! So many canisters for food and so much more!
Need canisters?!
How about racks that hang on the inside of your door? These are great on pantry doors, they help save room and can also help keep your spices and other frequently used things in plain sight.
I love nesting boxes and nesting dolls. They are so cute! I think it would be great if a guy proposed by putting a ring in the small top box for the large tower and she had to open all of the bigger boxes to get to it.
Where are my crafters?! Didn't think they'd have these sorts of items here huh? Well, they do! Gift wrap galore and gift tags, plus many items that can be used for scrapbooking! They even have a gift wrapping cart that keeps all of your gift wrapping items organized, easily accessible and it fit right into your closet for easy storage. The Container Store also has fabulous gift wrappers working during the holiday season.
Colorful storage drawers! Oh the possibilities are endless! what would you use these for? They have narrow, but deep ones and wider and deep ones. I could put some sewing patterns into the larger ones and sewing notions into some of the more narrow ones. I could even use the more narrow ones for my crochet hooks.
And of course the huge variety of trash cans! I never know there could be so many different trash cans all in one store, let alone available! They have a super fancy dancy trash can that has a motion sensor and opens on it's own and quietly closes on it's own so there is no slammed lid late at night while others may be sleeping. Also their stainless steel trash cans are fingerprint proof! How cool is that?! I know it would be great for our home with three littles with filthy fingers.

Oh, what a very interesting store. I wish there's a store like this where I live. I love buying containers and my husband calls me an organizing freak. I love the stack of colorful boxes on display.
ReplyDeleteI love this store. If I could live in one I would. I love the many ideas I get for my office and home. I wish they had one near me where I don't have to drive an hr away
ReplyDeleteWe have Container Store in our area but I never got a chance to visit. My husband told me that the store sells awesome container, huge selection and very high quality. I have to check them out
ReplyDeleteI love the container store. We have one here in nashville. My room I'd love to redo from their and get better organized is my kitchen. It's got a lot of clutter!
ReplyDeleteI have been to a Container Store before and loved it! I was in love with everything they had and the kitchen selection is amazing. What a fun event to get attend for the store opening.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Container Store. We had one when I lived in New York and I promise it was all I could do to contain (pun intended) myself in there. A girl could get lost in the organizational goodness! Love It...I wish we would get one here in NC soon.
ReplyDeleteThe container store is one of my fave places to go. You can find just about any type of container in every color, size and shape. The perfect place if you are seeking to organize any area: garage, office, home, pantry. There is one way to close to me. Gets me into trouble. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThis place looks like heaven to me. I would love to visit but there isn't one in my area. I use to live by an Ikea and lost my mind, I couldn't image how much fun I would have there. I wish there was one nearby me. I may have to make a road trip!
ReplyDeleteOOOOoooooo this makes my OCD / "organize all the things in color order" soul oh so happy! I think there is a container store that is relatively close to me (I live in the middle og no-where Texas) I'll have to add it to the list for when I head into the city next month
ReplyDeleteI love the Container Store!!!! I could just imagine how much fun you guys must have had, discovering and oooh'ing and aaah'ing over everything. Whenever I go, I find so many 'must-have' things to make my life more organized and beautifully neat. ;) I think my fav sections are the closet and kitchen sections. And I have to say, they have a metal rolling shoe rack that holds something like 40 pairs of shoes that I *love*. Best quality and capacity I've ever come across.
