I have made so much baby and toddler foods with the Baby Bullet! It is truly awesome and I would definitely say it's a necessity! Not only is it adorably cute, but it is also very functional and durable. I also have the Baby Bullet Steamer, which is also a great product and also easy to use.

I love making all sorts of fruit, vegetable and mixtures of the two for the boys. Since the boys are now 3 years old and 20 months old I use the Baby Bullet to make purees to put in their pouches and also sometimes they will eat it with a spoon by themselves. I use the batch bowl if I'm making more then one to two servings. The batch bowl would be great for making a week or two worth of food for a younger baby or a few days to a week of food for a toddler. The short cups are great for making a day or two worth of food for the babies and toddlers who rather not have the same food for many days in a row. Ezio will only eat the same food one or two times in a week.

Ezio enjoying some homemade bananas and apple sauce!
Not only will you know exactly what your baby is eating and be able to create delicious creations for your little one, but you'll also save money!! A bag of full sized carrots is about $2 here and you get about 10-12 large carrots per bag. When Ezio was an infant I could use 1-2 of these large carrots for at least one entire weeks worth of food for him! If you break that down it's about $0.02 for an entire weeks worth of food!!! A jar of baby food from the grocery store is about $0.65 unless you have a coupon and they are on sale, but even then it still costs more then $0.02 for an entire weeks worth! It's about the same price for making apples for a week, plus a little dash of cinnamon for added flavor for the older babes. Bananas are even cheaper, they are usually $0.29-$0.49/pound and you really only need one possibly two bananas to make a weeks worth of food for a younger babe. But, even if your making food for pouches for a toddler like I am, your still seriously saving money from your pocket! The reusable pouches are cheap as well the food you'll be adding to it.

The mill blade is great for turning brown rice into baby cereal and things like that. The blend blade is great for all sorts of fruits and vegetables. The spatula is a must! You sometimes have to scrap larger pieces off the sides of the bowls, so much easier then trying to use a butter knife or something. The cookbook is very helpful for beginners and even those of us who have been making baby food and such, there is always something to learn about everything.

  1. I absolutely commit to making my own homemade baby food. I have been making it for the pass 6 months but it is hard to make without the right tools but I do it out of love everyday. I really enjoyed many of the recipes on their blog which I am sure my girl will love but the Turkey and Turnip Purée is something I want to make and give her to try.

  2. This really sounds like an excellent way to make your own baby food. The Easy Pop Batch Tray & Lid would be especially useful. Thanks for the review!

    1. You can even grind it down really smooth and use it in place of flour! I will hopefully be uploading a post soon of my turning brown rice into flour to coat homemade chicken nuggets for my 3y with a sensory disorder and chicken nuggets is one FEW things he'll eat.

  4. I make all my daughter's food and I am happy to do it. I have often wondered about the baby bullet but never got one because I had bad experiences with the original one. I am so glad that I read this! I currently use our blender but it is so big, especially if you are just making a smaller amount. I will have to look into getting this, seems as though it would make my life a bit easier. :)

    1. I also have a blender and I used a blender when making my oldest (7y) baby food as I don't believe there was a Baby Bullet back then and in all honesty this set from Baby Bullet is definitely easier. :)

  5. This would be perfect for my brother! He's expecting twins and they're planning on making all of their food just like we did.

  6. This would be perfect.. I love that you can make a small or large batch... sometimes i just want to make a little food and the big food processors are just too much. I need that little cup!

  7. I bought one of those big food processors to make food for my first born. It was hard to clean and just more than I needed. The Baby Bullet sounds just right.
