Bumkins Snap-In-One Cloth Diaper Review

Bumkins

Bumkins Finer Baby Products was created in 1989 by Jakki Liberman, she initially created Bumkins to provide her own family with an alternative to disposable diapers. Bumkins started out with a single diaper, the All In One. This All In One diaper was a rival to disposables in the convenience and was the foundation for Bumkins products. They soon expanded their product line to bibs, aprons, smocks and bags. Bumkins introduced it's Natural Collection in 2000, the Natural Collection is an upscale product grouping which features organic cotton and natural fibers. Then in 2005 Bumkins became a Dr. Seuss licensee and adventured into the world of infant and toddler apparel. Bumkins Finer Baby Products is offered in a wide range of independent and mass retailers with a robust catalogue. Bumkins' SuperBib is the number one selling bib in America!

Bumkins products is CPSIA compliant and their signature waterproof material is lead, PVC, phthalate and BPA Free!

Snap-In-One Cloth Diaper

Bumkins newest cloth diaper is the Snap-In-One ($19.95ARV) this Snap-In-One diaper comes with a super soft and detachable Minky Insert that snaps into the front of the diaper. You can also get their 2 pack of Cotton and Bamboo Rayon Snap Inserts ($9.95) for this diaper as well. Instead of being all sewn together like an All-In-One, this Snap-In-One makes washing and getting the diaper clean a lot easier. Bumkins diapers have a three snap rise for easy adjusting to get a good fit for your baby.

The shell of this diaper is waterproof, thanks to the PUL fabric and with the TPU it is also stain and odor resistant. The color of this shell remains bright wash after wash. This diaper is available in Bumkins new prints and colors, which are Turtle (pictured above), Solid Blue, Solid Green and Solid Red. The interior fabric is a soft and cozy cotton/bamboo rayon blend and is breathable, which is great for against baby's skin. This inner lining is a single layer of fabric making for easy cleaning and fast drying time.

The detachable snap in insert is made with interior layers of microfiber for absorbency and minky fabric on the outside for comfort. You can also stuff the pocket with additional inserts if needed for optimal absorbency. You can tuck the insert in so the natural fabric is against the skin or you can leave the insert out for a stay dry effect.

I get a great fit with this diaper on Ezio who is about 28lbs and 20 months old. The double hip snaps help a great deal to reduce eliminate wing droop which is inevitable with an on-the-go toddler. The double hip snaps are triple effective to just a single hip snap. Even after several washes the inner lining is still super soft and not really pilly. The elastic is great and at a great tension allowing for a nice snug fit without digging into the chubby thighs. I know I have a photo of Ezio wearing this diaper, but can not find it. I will update with a photo hopefully soon to show how adorable this diaper is on the bum as well as the great fit we get with it.
