Sweet Sally's Bakeshop Review & Giveaway US 8/6

Sweet Sally's was launched in 2008 by Sally Saltzbart Minier, a third generation baker who has been active in the kitchen ever since she was very young. As a young girl, Sally learned the mathematical concept of "fractions" by using measuring cups and was taught the basics by her grandma Gracie and her mom, Carrie. As a teenager, Sally held a part-time job at McDonald's, Freedman's Bakery and the Wellesley College candy store, where she also attended. After she graduated, she chose a career on Wall Street as a mortgage finance analyst, but her passion for food and hospitality stuck around. In the late 1980's the stock market took a dive, which is when Sally decided to change paths and pursue a career in the hotel business. She received her Masters Degree in Hospitality Management. Sally did return to Wall Street to manage dining service operations for companies such as Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers. In 2008, Lehman Brothers went bankrupt and that is when she decided to follow her "first love" and launched Sweet Sally's, which had been in development for over a decade.

Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sweet Sally's Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies are packed full of semi-sweet chocolate chips and absolutely delicious! As you can tell from the photo above Dan and Cade were NOT even close enough to being patient and allowing me to take a picture of the packed full box of cookies we received. By the time I get to the box with my camera there were already 5 cookies gone! They both loved these cookies... as did I, but I only got to eat 2 of them. What a bunch of piggies, hey? These chocolate chip cookies were soft, but not melty or chewy. I was very pleased that they were not rock hard as some previous cookies we received from another baker were. That was disappointing, these were pleasantly pleasing to our taste buds! And of course because of how quick Cade was mowing down the cookies when we'd give him one here and there I was unable to get a picture of him enjoying it. I'm pretty sure most of them went in his mouth whole or with a single bite taken and then shoved the rest in. That would be my little boy, taking after daddy.

These cookies are made with all natural ingredients such  as: flour, sugar, unsalted butter, eggs, sugar, brown sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chips, baking soda, kosher salt and Sally's Magic! They are available in a white bakery box with a count of 20 cookies for $18 or in a large tin with a count of 24 cookies for $23. You can also have them gift wrapped, oh how I'd love to received these delicious cookies as a gift! Hey, my birthday is coming up next month!

Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies!
Ezio and Cade shared the Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies packed full of delicious and healthy oats and raisins and then some. Ezio did not get any of the chocolate chip cookies as he is allergic to chocolate, but Sally was nice enough to send us these so Ezio could taste test her delicious cookies as well. Both of the boys loved them and due to their size, one usually lasted them through out the day as they would graze on it while playing or eat half and decide it was time to play. Toddlers just can't sit still. I probably had more of these then I did the chocolate chip cookies and I love them! Dan doesn't like oatmeal so the boys and I didn't have to worry about him eating these before we could... like the chocolate chip cookies.

These cookies are also made with all natural ingredients such as: flour, sugar, brown sugar, butter, baking soda, eggs, pure vanilla, cinnamon, salt, oats, raisins and again Sally's Magic! These delicious cookies come in a 6 pack in a "satchel" with a red ribbon tied around it for only $12.
