The Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter is the latest in tree-friendly electronic replacement for memo pads, notebooks and sticky notes. The Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter is like other Boogie Board eWriters as they feature a revolutionary Reflex LCD as its writing surface that provides a writing experience that feels just like writing with a pen and piece of paper.

The Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter features a contemporary metallic design available with red, blue or graphite accents. It has a soft-touch back to provide grip and stability as well as a tapered stylus that doubles as a kickstand for horizontal viewing, which is great for leaving messages on the kitchen counter or dinning room table). There is also a built-in magnet for mounting to refrigerators, filing cabinets and other magnetic surfaces.

Our Boogie Board Jot 8.5 LCD eWriter

My mom is much better when it comes to drawing in general, but I definitely can not draw on the Boogie Board, mine always come out all squiggly and Cade has no problem telling me that what I draw is in fact not what he wanted drawn.

Cade absolutely loves drawing on the Boogie Board! He would sit there all day just doodling on it. This is really nice as a way to calm him down before nap or bedtime.

I love watching his facial expression while he is drawing on the Boogie Board, which he has claimed as his own! The Boogie Board is pretty durably seeing as how Cade is a very active 3 year old boy, sometimes drops it, sometimes steps on it and he is 37 pounds. Now I'm not saying to allow your child to do this to the Boogie Board I can not guarantee that it wouldn't result in damage. We have had no issues at all with the Boogie Board.
What I love the most about the Boogie Board Jot is that you can make your grocery list on it. Hang it on your refrigerator and continue to add things through out the week that you will need.

There is a lock switch on the side of the Boogie Board, which you just slide over to lock what you have written or drawn on your Boogie Board. It can not be erased until you unlock it. You can still write or draw on the Boogie Board even when it is locked.
So you can add or cross things off of your grocery list on the Boogie Board as your grocery shopping!
The Boogie Board Jot 8.5 is only 0.39in in height, making it very thin. It is a tad bigger then a pocket calender, but will definitely fit in most purses, diaper bags and probably even cargo pants pockets! So slim you can take it with you on the go, instead of an annoying notebook where you have to be careful not to rip out pages and loose them or bend your pages, etc.

We love our Boogie Board Jot! We have had so many notebooks in this house and I write something important down and then the next day I can't remember which note book I wrote it down in, where the notebook is, etc. The Boogie Board Jot gets rid of all that paper mess and stress! Just switch the lock switch over to locked, hang it on your fridge, toss it in your purse or wallet, and your good to go! It fits into the inside side pocket of my diaper bag and pretty well protected there, only dangers are if there is a sippy cup in the bag and it leaks.

If you want to protect your Boogie Board, it will fit into a Kindle Fire case, like the Skull one I made

  8. I would really like to have one of these and I learned that In October 2008, Kent Displays installed a new roll-to-roll production line at our headquarters in Kent, Ohio, U.S.A. to mass produce Reflex LCDs from rolls of plastic. The line is the first of its kind in the world and produces no waste water/chemicals and less solvent emissions than sheet-based processes.
